Guest access

The grounds of The Hacienda are an exquisite destination in themselves. There are orchids, ferns, bromeliads, cacti, succulents and flowering plants in all colors. Butterflies, hummingbirds and tropical birds are drawn to the flowering trees and shrubs. The gardens are a blend of banana plantation, wild jungle and planned garden beds. There is funky garden art and special nooks with comfortable furniture, swings and hammocks. In season there is a small stream where the jungle abundance surrounds you and the sound of flowing water is a tranquil compliment to the natural beauty. Cross the stream bed and see the view to Volcan Baru and discover more gardens.

The Hacienda is an absolutely wonderful place. I can't recommend it enough. Not only are Ciella and Quincy also wonderful, but the surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. The casita was perfect for our 3 night stay and I was so grateful to have such a cozy, comfy place to stay after the brutal Volcan Baru hike. Thanks so much to both of you!

Our experience at the Hacienda was amazing. Ciella and Quincy were both very nice guest and the breakfast every morning was always excellent. The place was calm, clean, and very beautifull. Boquete is a really nice city and I definetly recomand you to stay at the Hacienda for an amazing experience in the montain. Quincy is a really nice guy with great knowledge, he told us a lot about the city and the republic of panama. He also came to pick us when we arrived in the city and he drop us at the bus station when we left. Global appreciation : 10/10

Quincy did an amazing job of making us feel welcome and well cared for without in any way being overbearing. This included meeting us in town the evening we arrived and taking us up to the Hacienda, making us amazing breakfasts and giving us tips and suggestions to make our stay in Boquete both fun-filled and relaxing. Unfortunately we did not meet Ciella as we found out two days into our stay that she had returned to the US to offer support to family in the midst of a serious health emergency. This news left us even more in awe of Quincy's ability to fully attend to our needs and check in with us each evening for a debrief about our day's experiences and adventures as well as offering us tips, suggestions or advice on how to plan our next day. The Hacienda itself is breathtakingly beautiful both inside and out. We quickly developed a routine of relaxing mornings with coffee, electronic newspaper and birdwatching followed by Quincy's abundant breakfasts followed by a day of activities and then a return to the Hacienda to relax again. Fantastic! In the evening the stars and fireflies in the air each night could be observed while sitting on a patio overlooking the twinkly town of Boquete from up the mountain where we sat. Listening to the evening sounds of the rainforest over a glass of wine or a Panamanian beer quickly became a favourite way to end each busy day. There are top-notch restaurants in Boquete as well as quaint bakeries and markets. We typically found ourselves lunching out and then buying ingredients to bring back for a light evening meal at the Hacienda. Ciella and Quincy have ensured there is everything you need to store food and prepare a simple, light meal. This was our first AirBnb experience and we are hooked! Thank you Ciella and Quincy- your passionate dedication to provide guests with an amazing experience in your lovely home is much appreciated.

Lovely location, one of the other guests referred to it as "the garden of eden" and it is the best description. It is up in the mountains - it would have been difficult to find but the host met us in boquete and led us to the hacienda. Highly recommend

We fell in love with Boquete, Panama on a quick trip here 9 years ago. The air is clean and fresh with lush vegetation and the tropical beauty lured us back to purchase a home. We love to hike and garden and be "out" in nature. We wanted to be near the ocean but could not tolerate the heat. Here we can be boogie boarding in an hour and a half or in the river in 30 minutes. I love the mountains so I have the best of all worlds here without the winter weather. We have an endless growing season so I can experiment with the wide variety of bromeliads, orchids and cacti, a lovely mix. I worked in the hospitality sector in the U.S. so opening a small B and B is a great fit.
