This bed and breakfast was beyond fantastic. I had spend 4 days in the city of Tokyo I was feeling burnt out. My friends asked me why I wanted to visit Nikko when I could spend more time in the city. Once I got to Kanuma I felt a tremendous amount of relief, the fresh air, the farms, the mountains surrounding Kanuma and Nikko, the ferris wheel on top of a hill overlooking the town. It was so iconic to what I had in mind for Japan and Yukino and Shino couldn't be better hosts. They run a cafe downstairs and they offer a really fantastic free breakfast. They also have a menu for lunch and dinner! Taking the train to Nikko is really simple and a short scenic trip. But you'll certainly want to explore Kanuma as well, they have some really nice shrines. I would and hope to eventually come back to Kanuma one day, i wish i booked it for longer :)

Lovely, fun hosts with a lovely house and cafe. Food is very, very good! The house is a bit out of the way, but with the bikes the hosts provide, it's a good alternative to staying in Nikko. Not a lot going on in Kanuma - we found it hard to find a restaurant open past 8pm.

Yukino and Shino are wonderful hosts! My wife and I were so happy that we chose to stay at this BnB. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and their cooking was fantastic! We would highly recommend to anyone traveling through that part of Japan.

This was by far our favourite place to stay! If you have a chance to stay here do it!! Even stay for a couple days. It was so nice to leave busy Tokyo and be welcomed in to such a quant and sweet B&B. Also the breakfast was hands downs amazing and it was my favourite meal my whole trip.

One of the best Airbnb experience we had. The host was very friendly; providing us with all the bicycles, pamphlets we need. Strongly recommend eating dinner at the place as well. They cook delicious meals! Would definitely stay here again when visiting Nikko.

Near Kita-Kanuma station, it is a close walk. Although it is a few stations down from Nikko or Kinugawa Onsen, it only takes about 30 minutes by the Tobu lines. The hosts are excellent because they picked me up from Kita-Kanuma station when I was lost. Furthermore, the rooms and beds are comfy and there is manga available to read if you ever need to rest during your stay. Although breakfast is included, you can also include a dinner for very cheap but don't let the price fool you, there is a LOT in the dinner! Both of the meals I had during my stay were authentic Japanese dishes and they were very delicious. They also have various international bottled beers available. Overall my stay here was absolutely awesome and the distance it takes from the main tourist area nearby is negligible.

Lovely place and lovelier hosts. Yukino and shino are absolutely lovely and they drove us back to the train station. Dinner and breakfast were the best we've had so far in Japan. The only drawback is location; a little far, but a taxi solved the problem. Recommended a 100%!
