Location

Smithers, British Columbia, Canada

Neighbourhood overview
Well connected by air but still remote and tranquil. 1 hour and 40 minutes flight from Vancouver. 3 flights a day in the summer and 10 flight a week in the winter. Smithers is a small town surrounded by mountains like Hudson Bay Mountain ski hill, and rivers like the Bulkley and the Babine. The area is famous for fishing; a Steelhead paradise and Salmon heaven. For skiing, heli-skiing, skidooing, cross country skiing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, canoeing, golfing and other outdoor activities. Any time and any day you can enjoy the wild life of the area in the back yard; moose, ducks, eagles, deer, wolves, coyotes, porky pines, birds…and bears. A few ideas about things to do. Hiking in the area: Twin falls. Gulch Glacier. Crater lake. Malkow Lookout. Blue Lakes. Walking around the Ranch: about 10 to 15 km of trails around the property. Canoeing , Kayaking, Paddle board (equipment can be rented at Aquabatics near the airport) Mountain biking Fishing Golfing in the 2 golf courses that are near town. Skiing at the family ski resort Hudson Bay Mountain with great snow (driest powder conditions in BC) and no line ups. (Equipment can be rented at the mountain or in town) . Cross country skiing at the ranch or on the 40 km trails at Hudson Bay mountain. Backcountry skiing with kilometers of untracked snow. Snowmobiling. Heli skiing (2.5 hours away)

My wife and I bought this property in 2010. We experienced a wonder moment when we were riding around the 1,310 acres. We built 5 log homes over the next 6 years. We love the remoteness, the privacy, the silence and the views of the mountains and the animals. At Jollymore Ranch, Every day is a perfect day!.
