Great location
92% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
About half way between Gin Gin and Mt Perry on 100acres, Greenacres Hobbyfarm Retreat is a large family home, with beautiful gardens and is child and pet friendly. 3 King size guest bedrooms all open onto large verandas. TV in each room. Breakfast inclusive. A photographers delight. Sit back and relax, soak in the spa with pleasant outdoor views or go exploring, many varieties of birds, along with local wildlife or interact with our farm animals, goats, sheep, maremma dog and chickens.

The space
Home suitable for people with mobility issues, all one level. We have a guest refrigerator for you to store your perishables and of course keep your drinks cold. A working property, and you will share the house with us, but we give you as much privacy possible. As well as a hobby farm, we grow Vetiver Grass (grown for its deep roots that stabilise dams and slopes, and environmentally amazing qualities for bioremediation and even high protein stock food)) for commercial purposes. 100 acres, half of which is bushland. Avid gardeners, so huge variety of exotic and not so exotic plants grown in and outside the house yard, as well a variety of fresh herbs always available, and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Well away from city or town lights the night views of the stars are amazing. If doing a night safari you may be lucky to see Bettongs, possums, wallabies and kangaroos of course, and sometimes the Eastern Curlew birds.

Where you’ll be

Moolboolaman, Queensland, Australia

Peaceful and quiet being on a 100 acre property. Listen to the early morning bird calls, there is a wide variety from the Kookaburras, magpies, honey eaters, lorikeets, king parrots and black cockatoos to name a few. Friendly and helpful folk on neighbouring properties. Typical of good old fashioned country hospitality.

A retired nurse, now hobby farmer and small business owner with husband Greg. Outgoing and love the company of people, great sense of humour, and active in our local community. Love animals of course, both our native wild ones as well as domesticated animals and pets. Both Greg and I are passionate gardeners and love sharing our garden with visitors and like-minded folk. We have done some travelling and always had wonderful experiences staying at other Bed and Breakfast accommadation, so much more personalised. Love my beautiful family and 10 grandchildren, but also enjoy music, movies, sipping on a glass of wine at sunset, or sitting in the outdoor spa watching the sunset in the west and moon rise over the hills in the east. Bliss! My favourite motto at present is. "STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHAT COULD GO WRONG, RATHER, GET EXCITED BY WHAT CAN GO RIGHT"
