Little Croft is a beautifully refurbished self contained timber clad annexe that sits beside, but separate from, the main house called The Croft. It's outside seating area has an uninterrupted view of the Malvern Hills and looks out over an acre of secure garden with it's own private all weather tennis court. Munsley is just 10 minutes drive from the beautiful historic market town of Ledbury and approx 20 minutes drive from the M50 giving great access links to all areas of the country.

The space
Little Croft has one bedroom with a superking sized zip and link bed. This can be made up as two full sized single beds if preferred. The bedroom has a chest of drawers and full hanging cupboard for guests belongings. The small but perfectly formed bathroom lies within the bedroom suite and has an enormous wet room style level access shower, a large basin and a WC. The floor tiles are specifically designed for wet rooms with excellent grip to help those with limited mobility or concerns about slipping.

The main living space has a small kitchen fitted with a full sized under counter fan oven, ceramic hob, small fridge and slimline dishwasher. There is seating in this section for guests around a small square table. The sitting area has one large sofa, a tv with integrated dvd player, shelving with books and dvds for guests to borrow whilst staying and a desk unit that offers guests a chance to look at various maps, plan walks and things to do in the local area.
Outside there is a small table and chairs for dining al fresco and two deck chairs for soaking up the sun and the wonderful view.

Guest access
There is fencing all around Little Croft to provide privacy from the main house and a secure area to keep your own dogs in and our dogs out! We welcome up to two well behaved small dogs or one large dog per stay, but beg you to keep them off the bed and furniture. We would also appreciate you cleaning up after your dog(s) and being mindful of the electric entrance gates should you allow your dog into the main garden, as we will come and go during your stay and the opening of the gates is via remote control. You are free to wander the large garden/paddock on your side of the house and use the private tennis court at your leisure. Balls and racquets are not provided though, so please bring your own. In the paddock we also have a cricket net, trampoline and football goal set up for those with a more energetic stay in mind! All facilities are used by our guests however, with their own liability.

Other things to note
Disabled access inside Little Croft is good as it is all on one level. The parking area outside the entrance is gravelled but if you park right next to your gate there is a ramped paved section that takes you to the front door and all the way around the accommodation. The garden is basically flat but with several bumps and hollows along the way usually from the inevitable countryside mole activity!! Wheelchair access is therefore possible but you will need someone to push you up and over the external thresholds and also around the extended garden.

Location

Ledbury, Herefordshire, United Kingdom

There are many public footpaths in and around Munsley that cross farmland and apple orchards for which this area is most well known. Little Croft lies adjacent to a wonderful 'round' known as 'Canal Walk no 1 - Staplow', which is approx 2.5miles long and takes around an hour and fifteen minutes or so to complete, obviously depending on how fast you walk. More importantly however, half way round is a great pub called The Oak Inn, Staplow, which serves great food and local ales and is only 25 minutes walk from the property. Dogs are welcome in the bar area, so it's a great opportunity to combine the daily walk with a delicious lunch savouring beautiful organic apple orchards and wildflower meadows on the way! Please book in advance if you want to eat at The Oak on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The Malverns are 15 minutes drive away, the Forest of Dean about 40 minutes drive away and the Welsh border about 1 hour, so walks and beautiful scenery are plentiful in this truly beautiful part of Britain. There are several maps and walking books within the property for you to use and research from during your stay. If Antiques are more your thing than walking, then Leominster and Ludlow are 40 minutes and 1 hour away.... books, then the gorgeous Hay-on-wye approximately 1 hour drive away, cider, then Westons Cider is approximately 15 minutes away, Gin and Vodka, then the Chase distillery aprox 20 mins drive away, and many other attractions such as National Trust properties, Eastnor Castle, Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester Cathedrals, Cheltenham racecourse and the Three Counties Showground, all within an hour's reach. Ledbury itself is a lovely, vibrant market town with a unique feel. There are some fantastic gift shops, lovely cafes and restaurants/pubs, a beautiful fabric, textiles and homeware shop called Tinsmiths and Roger Oates, the famous carpet/runner maker, is just up the road in Eastnor. So whether your stay is for a day or one month, there is plenty to do and see locally and as part of a day trip away.
