The space

Romantic, rustic, 1930s cabin.

WINTER NOTE: In snowy conditions, CHAINS MAY BE REQUIRED for access up the mountain and for driving on roads in general. Please check weather and road conditions by contacting CalTrans, The National Weather Service, etc. The mountain road is windy. Ice, snow and fog can be present. Part of our road is steep, and although plowed by the city, plows may not arrive prior to your departure. PLEASE COME ADEQUATELY PREPARED as the owners cannot be responsible for weather or driving conditions. Thank you!

Our home features one-bedroom with a king-sized bed, a wood burning fireplace and queen size pull-out sofa in the main room (plus twin inflatable in the closet). Our backyard is the National Forest and is great for hiking/exploring. Central heating plus window air conditioner. WiFi, games, books, and over 400 VHS tapes (and a DVD player too!). Fully outfitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge, microwave oven and toaster oven, coffee maker, garbage disposal, etc. Simple, funky, basic bathroom with tub/shower combination. Deck with patio set and umbrella. The front deck sits just above Bear Springs Road (cars sometimes go by!) and is surrounded by trees and shrubs for privacy (although some lose their leaves in the winter). Our lilac trees bloom in the spring! Rental includes linens, utilities, firewood (if we don't run out!) and cleaning services (and usually birdseed and peanuts to feed the birds and jays if we don't run out!). Fair warning: you're in the forest so there can be ants, spiders and mice (and barking neighborhood dogs!), although we work hard to try and control these as best we can. Parking for 3 cars minimum on large shared driveway.

1 Night Minimum.

Cleaning fee $65 including all linens.

Located in a residential neighborhood with other homes/cabins nearby. 5 minutes to charming Blue Jay Village. 10 to either Lake Arrowhead or Lake Gregory. Close to shops and restaurants.

Winter: our road is plowed by the city, but driveway is not. We've arranged for a local handyman to shovel after storms but just in case he doesn't come thru, snow shovels are available.

Wood burning fireplace (firewood is sometimes available depending on guests' usage). Deck and patio furniture in front. National Forest in the back.

Check-in/out times may be flexible depending on circumstances. Feel free to ask!

Cell reception can be poor depending on your carrier.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire home. The day before arrival, a four-digit code for the lockbox (located on the front door) will be sent. Simply return the key and re-lock upon departure!

Interaction with guests

We are always available and may check in/communicate via AirBnb. Otherwise we leave you alone to enjoy your time in the mountains!

Other things to note

We want all our guests to have an exceptional time. Please let us know if there's anything further we can do to help achieve that goal!

The Treehouse is just pure love! I am absolutely in love with this hidden gem. Perfect for couples! Very unique and authentic. There is a nice surprise in every corner if you pay attention to the details. Thomas & Michael were super nice and communicative. Amazing hosts! This was my first Airbnb experience! Exceeded the expectations. Highly recommended for nature and authenticity lovers! Thank you so much for this experience!

Thomas and Michael's cabin was beautiful. It had a nostalgic feel with the Christmas decorations - it felt like it was out of a movie it was so quaint! I really enjoyed the fireplace, VHS collection, comfy bed and sitting on the front porch watching birds as I had my coffee. I'll definitely be back!!

The cabin is nicely located and very clean. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio surrounded by the trees and birds. Our 10 y.o had good time watching the VHS videos from the extensive collection.

This is the most peaceful, enchanted cabin ever! Thomas & Michael have filled this retro cabin with the most precious items that reveal a reverence for nature and get you in tune with true spirit of these beautiful mountains. I loved having breakfast on the sunny deck amid the blue jays and butterflies, cozying up at night with a VHS video (go analog!), and meditating under the trees on a bench in the wooded backyard at dusk. This is the ideal place to unplug and recharge! And the hosts are so accommodating -- they arranged early check-in for me and were easy to communicate with. I loved it so much that I stayed an extra night!

We had a great stay at the Treehouse! We stayed here while visiting Lake Arrowhead for a wedding. It was easy to find, even in the middle of the night. It was plenty comfortable for two couples, even with 4 of us all getting ready for the wedding at the same time. There are SO MANY movies and games, we only wished we were here longer to enjoy all this place has to offer! Thomas and Michael were super helpful and available if we had any issues, and even left us a bottle of wine. Overall, we had a fantastic experience here and would love to come back in the winter!

Thomas & Michael User ProfileThomas & Michael is a superhost.

Owners of this little cabin for 11 years, we love it and hope you do too! We live in Long Beach, California, and work in the Entertainment Industry. We have always felt that traveling up to Lake Arrowhead is special, and we cherish the times we spend at our Treehouse. Up until the summer of 2014, we had never rented the place, and thankfully, it's gone great! We hope your experience at our cabin is great too, and we're committed to making that happen to the best of our abilities. Thanks for considering Treehouse. We appreciate your business!
