Ben’s private feedback to me:
“We got to the condo Friday around 6pm. After we checked in, my nephew went on the balcony and smoked some medical marijuana. He is firmer marine who has ptsd and has a medical card for it. Security came up to room and told us to leave or he was gonna call the police. So we left. So we never got to enjoy the condo or rocky point. Very disappointed. Wife says she will never go back there.”
My Feedback to Ben :
Ben ~ I am terribly sorry to hear that this happened however marijuana is illegal in Mexico, they don't recognize the medical part. I know that it's ironic to say because of the enormous amounts of drugs trafficked into America from Mexico every year but still, it's the law. Had you gone onto the public beach and not used on the private property of the facility, you may have been alright, I can't say for sure because I don't know... It was done for the safety of ALL the guests staying here, someone made the call to security for them to come to the apartment.
I can understand your frustration however the problem was self-inflicted, perhaps in the future when traveling abroad there will be some forethought into the laws of the land and before assuming anything there is a " hypothetical" conversation with the people who would know what reaction your action might cause, and the consequences of those actions. I do know that giving us a 1-star review is totally unfair and makes our future guests question the integrity of our beautiful beach vacation condo.
In closing I'd like to say again, "Sorry" for your troubles, I hope you & your wife have a change of heart and come back and see us sometime, and please let your nephew know we are grateful for his service to our country and we wish him the best in the future with his PTSD. John
