Problems from the start... This was not a good experience. Before they even booked, they contacted me several times because they were having issues running their credit card through Air B&B and continuously tried to get me to contact them outside of the Air B&B messaging.
All the bedding was changed with freshly washed bedding and the house was cleaned the day before their arrival. They called with their concerns and when I explained that I live 3 hours away they said that would send pictures of the "Stains and Large Amounts of Dog hair". I received a close up photo of what appeared to be a small stain on a comforter and a few dog hairs. This comforter was washed so I apologized for that and directed them to a closet full of fresh blankets that I had just stocked the day before. It appears that they continued to use this same comforter for the remainder of their stay. As for the hair, this is listed as pet friendly, I do vacuum and sweep up the hair. The picture they sent literally showed thee hairs! As for "Needing Updating", Its a rustic log cabin as stated in the description. The photos show you exactly what to expect. It seems that this renter was looking for a 5 star Inn. We do collect a cleaning fee to cover laundry, trash removal, and light cleaning but the house was left filthy (5 hours of cleaning) after their stay! They also left the bathroom window open. This is mid February in the white mountains, temps fall well below zero and an open window could easily lead to frozen pipes! I was very disappointed in their lack of respect for my house. They were not good renters and we would not host them again.
