The room was just as advertised -- clean, spacious, and with a shared bathroom. The house is located on a quiet side street, 5 min walk from the Amherst town center. Jim sent very helpful instructions by email and it was a breeze to find everything we needed during our stay. We w…

James is a special man, he is extremely available and nice, ready to help you in any situation. I spent 6 months in his house, and now he is like a family to me. The house was better than I expected, especially the kitchen has everything you could need for a short- or long-term s…

In a way I hate to tell you how much I enjoyed my stay, I would rather have my pick of return dates! But seriously, a comfortable setting, quiet and seemingly secluded, and only five minutes from the UMass campus. Gracious hosts, a spacious room, a desk upon which to write, could…

House provided modern, quiet accommodations on a leafy street just a few blocks from the center of town. The plush queen under the eaves was an oasis upstairs, above any of the hosts quiet activity below.

It's 5 minutes on foot to downtown Amherst & the Emily Dickinson museum. Bike trails everywhere allow you to explore widely. There are 2 rooms for rent here, so it would be great for families. And Jim is not just friendly and good conversation, he's warm and generous to boot.
