Surf Camp and Eco Lodge on the edge of Busua town, where a small river meets the beach. The house has 6 bedrooms with plenty of private and shared outdoor spaces. The house is made with rammed earth and has a rooftop platform with views of the pristine forest and the beach. All rooms have flexible bed arrangements. Please make your request upon booking.

The space
The building is made with predominantly sustainable materials, locally sourced materials and local workmanship. The house has been designed to blend in with the lush surroundings and has a huge silk cotton tree (Onyina - in local language) on the property. You can even enjoy a cooling outdoor shower between it's towering roots.

Instead of relying on energy-consuming and health-deteriorating air conditioners, we cool the house with natural air flow, fans and shade. The house is powered by solar panels so we have a reliable and stable energy access.

Guest access
Guests have access to their own room and bathroom, otherwise all shared spaces.

Other things to note
We also run Ahanta Waves Surf School so our guests are welcome to join us for Surf Lessons or Surf Trips.

Location

Sekondi-Takoradi, Western Region, Ghana

You will find Busua about 30 kilometers west of Takoradi, the regional capital of the Western Region. The small village has a population of about a thousand people who make a living from farming, fishing and small-scale retail. The local language «Ahanta»; a dialect of the Akan language family. The surf in Busua is perfect. The Southern Hemisphere swells travel great distances before they reach the coastline of Ghana, delivering glassy and orderly lines of swell. In Busua, and at other nearby spots, you can avoid the crowds of the mainstream surfing destinations. For now, it is still a playground with world-class left- and right hand breaks.
