Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Located on 30 acres of private land surrounded by national forest in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, this tiny home is perfectly situated within 30 minutes of the luxury ski resort Vail, CO, and the historic mining town Leadville, CO. This is the best location to see all of what Colorado has to offer. Since this is a new listing, you can verify reviews for this location and host by looking at the other "Snow Cross" airbnb listings near the town of Red Cliff.

The space
This modern tiny home has two lofts, one with a king bed and another with a full bed. The king bed is accessed by a normal rise and run staircase, the full bed is accessed by a wooden ladder. On the main level, there is a kitchen with a smaller sized oven and 3 burner stove top, tall apartment sized fridge/freezer, living room with a fold down couch/futon that can be closed off into it's own room, and quaint dining table with incredible views over the surrounding area. The views from this specific home through the many windows are truly incredible.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire tiny home.

Other things to note
Check out the "Snow Cross Tiny Home" and "Snow Cross Studio" listings in the same area that have been on Airbnb for a longer period of time for host and location reviews.
The toilet in this home is a composting toilet, specifically a Villa 9210, which truly works amazingly, but is different that your normal flushing toilet. Feel free to look it up for more information. You will never have to deal with maintaining the toilet, this will always be completed by the host.
There is about a 100-150 yard walk up a sloped hill from the parking space to get to the home.
Keep in mind that the home is off the grid, so it is important to be cautious of your electricity and water usage as both utilities are capped by our amount of water in the well and electricity in the batteries. During the winter, when surface water is not running and the sun is not hitting the solar panels for long periods of time, it is especially important to be conservative of these utilities.
The water heater is not on demand, so the heater will supply a hot shower for about 10-15 minutes before it needs to reheat itself. 10-15 mins should be plenty for two hot showers, but after that you will need to wait a bit for the water heater to heat back up.
All heat, water and forced air, are supplied via propane so you don't have to worry about running out of heat in the house or anything despite being off grid.
The internet is satellite internet which means we are data capped with our internet usage. We are allowed 50GB every month of "daytime" data from 8AM-2AM, and another 50 GB per month of "bonus" data between 2AM and 8AM. In order to not run out of our daytime data, this is not the place to come to stream videos or music. If you must stream some videos for work or something, do so during the "bonus" hours of 2AM to 8AM at a low bandwidth/video quality. During the daytime hours, keep this to emails/texting/any internet browsing that does not include video or music streaming so all guest can stay connected. Amazon shopping, news articles, facebook with autoplay for videos turned off, etc. are all fine as long as you're not streaming videos.
Cell service is poor here, but we do have a phone line for emergencies and such. Texting via wifi is fine, texting via SMS will come in and out as well as signal for calling.

This is the only parcel of land in this area surrounded by national forest land. There are 2 other airbnb rentals on the parcel, but the way this home sits up high you will have a very private, secluded, environment for your getaway. There is about a 150 yard walk up a hill and you must park at the bottom of this hill (check out the photos for a picture of this), so do keep that in mind when booking. Technically there is a road right up the tiny home, that's how we got it up there, but it is tight and narrow so I don't feel comfortable allowing cars up this narrow road.
