The space
This townhouse is our cozy mountain getaway that we have lovingly shared with friends for several years, and seasonally make available on airbnb. We find it an inviting place to unwind and entertain family and friends, and our guests agree. It's also a perfect base for the myriad of mountain adventures nearby.

Highlights include:
- Mountain views from bedrooms and living room
- Private hot tub in the deck under the stars
- Wood burning stove with firewood usually provided.
- South-facing for lots of warming sun throughout the year.
- Close access to Winter Park Resort and Rocky Mountain National Park.
- Great biking, hiking, and nordic skiing within walking distance.
- 1/2 car garage with plenty of space for securely storing your toys (bikes/skis/kayaks/etc.) while you stay.
- 60 Mbps Comcast WiFi exclusive to our unit. Excellent for working from here and streaming movies and music.
- Washer/dryer/dishwasher/microwave/coffee maker/TV/stereo.
- 1195 furnished square feet.
- Towels/sheets included.
- Dog negotiable, contact us to confirm. No yard, not fenced in, but neighborhood is pet friendly.

Guest have use of the whole house, hot tub, parking in front of unit, and garage.

Fraser is a nice small, authentic mountain town that's surrounded by summer and winter activities.

The townhouse is part of a triplex situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in a neighborhood with a healthy mix of local families and second homes. Friendly neighbors with young children live in the 2 adjacent units.

From our place it's a 5-10 minute walk to Fraser downtown, Safeway grocery store, and hiking trailheads. We try to have maps available of the local trails and other local information.

So that we meet your expectations, a few notes:
- As you may gather from the photos, the townhouse has a cozy mountain vibe, not a modern apartment vibe.
-Lots of heating options, but no air conditioning, as an open window or sliding door (there are 3) works wonderfully at this altitude in the summer.
- Parking in the shared driveway is limited to two spots, with an additional car if you park one car behind the other. There is also a limited amount of street parking in the non-winter months. Message us if you need more parking spots to discuss options.
- In addition to the living room loft, there is a tiny, tiny loft above the mudroom accessed by a permanent ladder. We've stuffed a double bed in it, and it's where we banish the snorers or early-to-bedders as it's the most soundproof sleeping spot in the place. We don't even list that bed as it's more for emergency spillover, but you are welcome to use it.

Feel free to send us a message if you need additional info.

Guest access
Guest will have use of whole house, hot tub, parking and garage.

Other things to note
Winter reservations: 10 day maximum stay from Dec 24 - April 1. Airbnb doesn't have the settings to restrict this, but we won't approve 10+ day requests during that time. We gladly accept longer-term rentals in the spring/summer/fall, and have had several guests enjoy 1-2 months.

Location

Fraser, Colorado, United States

Our neck of Fraser has a good amount locals living in it. So it doesn't have the short-term vibe; we like that about it. We also love how close to everything it is, including walking distance to the grocery store, coffee (Starbucks in the grocery store), liquor store, a few restaurants, outdoor shop, hardware store, a saloon, a distillery, and a brewery.
The Idlewild trails and Experimental Forest hiking/biking/nordic trails are just a few miles away.
If you like spending a day summiting a mountain, look into Byers Peak.
4 wheel driving can get you access to the Continental Divide trails along the Moffat Road (summer only).
Tons of outdoor possibilities to suit your needs!

We love domestic and international travel, the outdoors, meeting new people, and our our crazy dingo dog. We spent half of 2016 overseas, mostly in India for Heather's Fulbright grant. We also volunteered in Greece with refugees, and afterwards sampled the lovely European lifestyle, which we are fond of. Venturing overseas for over a couple decades now, other locations we've lived in for decent stretches are Australia, New Zealand, and Spain. We've managed to get to over 20 countries and lots of the US. Lately we've been incorporating volunteering into our travels. Heather is a high school teacher/social butterfly/bookworm. Ben a computer guy who gets away from the desk as much as possible. We strive to be respectful guests and thoughtful hosts. We sometimes have our house and mountain condo available for hosting. Hablamos español bastante bien.
