Stayed as a family of four. Our children immediately stole the enclosed bed area, and thought it was the best secret room they've seen. Parents relegated to the bunks! Great spot, close to Avebury and Stonehenge just a short drive away. We stayed in March, and the cottage was…

We have a lovely family adventure here. We wanted somewhere to stay for a couple of nights near Longleat Safari Park and this ticked all of the boxes for us. The lodge on the water was something different which my 4 year old loved and the setting and views were lovely, even…

The accommodation is part of a campsite. This was not apparent to us at the time of booking. The lake was rather the size of a fish pond, which was also used by anglers. The lake is not suitable for swimming. The camping site is quite far outside. A café offers food. But there is…

Nice little campground with lodges and a boat house in the nature. The play area for the younger kids was nice.

Response from Rebecca Groves:
This review is from a couple staying for two nights. We have had many 5 star reviews from families of 4 or 5 staying in the lodge. It is better for 4 than 5 but as we offer two night breaks in this lodge it is very comfortable and there is lots to do away from the lodge. The…

Fairwood Lakes was an amazing discovery - the floating cabin was a perfect retreat for us over New Year with our little boy who is two. He loved both the indoor soft play and the outdoor play areas which were much more well equipped than we'd expected. The cabin was small but…

Fabulous accommodation perfectly situated to visit Bath, Longleat, Bristol, Frome and surrounding towns of interest. Quiet, enough to keep young children occupied between day trips. Staff very friendly and helpful.
