I am sorry to hear now that you didn’t enjoy your stay. I reviewed our correspondence before booking your reservation and was very clear that the cabin was not meant for 5 adults and offered the B&B rooms as an alternative to fit you all. We made an exception for your group and explained all additional costs before booking.
“I just spoke with Savanna and realized that you are booked in the cabin. I just want to let you know that the cabin can sleep 5 in a pinch, but that would be more for a family with children. I wouldn’t recommend it for 5 adults however. The cabin is an open concept layout with one king bed and a futon. With extra children we have the ability to pull out a single cot.
What I would recommend for the five of you are the 3 B&B suites. That way you all have access to the common kitchen and the backyard with fire pit would be yours as well.
These rooms have the best view of the ocean and will feel like your own private get away. I just don’t think you’ll be happy in the cabin with all of you. The cabin would be $325/night for 5 guests, and it’s really only set up for a max of 4 adults, so you would need another room.”
You didn’t want the extra expense and asked us to make an exception citing the following;
“Hey Carolyn ,
So what we are wanting to do is we will sleep 3 in the king bed, 1 on the couch and 1 on the additional cot that can be provided. We would prefer to stay in the cabin as we can not afford to stay in the B&B suites. When I booked yesterday it was charged at $310/night. There has just been a little mix up because on the page it says there is 3 beds. We are perfectly fine with this cabin arrangement! Thank you so much!”
The cabin had its own deck and furniture and yes we forgot to provide a BBQ the first night as the original posted was “upon request”. You didn’t request so we put it on your deck after you started to use another rooms BBQ. When you booked the cabin there was no hot tub on the property, but we did offer it to your group to use.
Again, I am sorry you were not happy, but the pictures clearly show the space and as per our conversations I clearly indicated that we felt it was too small for five adults and we did tell you before booking that we wanted to ensure that you enjoyed your stay as well as our other guests. To say now that you weren’t aware is not only not true but completely unfair to place your disappointment on us.
We gave you a favourable review because the room was left in good condition for having so many adults using it. Even though we had concerns initially that we discussed with you before booking, we were pleasantly surprised at how respectfully you looked after our property.
I wish you had gone over our initial conversation before writing such a poor review. The cabin was clean and the property exactly as discribed. Hopefully potential future guests will be able to see the lack of substance to your complaints.
We truly try to meet all our guests requests and I guess looking back the only way to ensure your satisfaction would have been to deny your request for making an exception.
