This beautiful purpose built log cabin boasts tons of character. It has been designed to offer you a wonderfully unique stay, set in a private area all to yourselves.

The comfortable log cabin sleeps 4 with a king sized bed and a double sofa bed, a cute kitchen and a perfectly formed bathroom. Everything you need for a relaxing break will be supplied, including kitchen basics, bed linen and towels. The bathroom will provide you with a hot shower after a glorious day's sightseeing.

The eco wood-fired hot tub(available at extra cost) will keep you relaxed as your supper is sizzling away on the BBQ. Treat yourself to a glass of bubbly, gaze at the stars and let the beautiful surroundings wash away your stress.

The Hideaway is supplied with solar power, which of course is dependant on the sun shining. For those overcast days you can wander down to the local pub, cozy up next to the log burner, while away your time in the hot tub or snuggle up around the fire pit toasting marshmallows.

This is an idyllic place to unwind and leave your hectic life behind. There is no wi-fi to distract you, so you can truly switch off.

You are close to the beautiful cities of Oxford and Cheltenham and the gorgeous towns and villages of the Cotswolds. Shop till you drop in the many boutiques and antique shops that the surrounding towns have to offer. Or lose yourself in the wonderful stately homes and gardens nearby. To name a few; Blenheim Palace, Buscot Park, Friar’s Court, Kelmscott Manor. Or visit one of our local villages, Bampton, where many scenes of Downton Abbey were filmed.

The Cotswolds is dripping in history, from ancient churches and barns, to Roman ruins and gothic monasteries, there is a wealth of activity on your doorstep.

If the great outdoors is your thing, you are spoilt for choice with wonderful walking and cycling opportunities. The Cotswold's Way is close by and boasts over 100 miles of trails through picturesque villages and ancient woodland. You also have the river Thames just a couple of miles away.

If all that activity sounds like hard work, just kick off your shoes and spend the day lounging on your deck and enjoying the beautiful countryside.

The Cotswolds is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and you will be staying in the heart of this wonderful area.

If the ‘Hideaway’ is booked for the dates you are looking for, please look at our converted railway carriages - 'Rectory Farm Retreat' and 'Rectory Farm Camp'. All set in a similar setting as The Hideaway!

Other things to note
As we mentioned, the Hideaway is only powered by solar power, so you many experience a limited power supply. Don't fret too much, you are close to many towns and villages if you need a WiFi hit.

The eco hot tub is wood-fired and comes at an additional cost, please enquire for further information. It's well worth it as you can enjoy a wonderfully warm outdoor soak. If you would like to make use of the hot tub, please let us know prior to your arrival so that we can make sure it is ready for you.
