A beautifully renovated townhouse in a historic building. In a great quiet neighborhood, but close to downtown.
My condo is one of 10 townhouses in a beautiful brick building built in 1904. I bought it in 2008 and have fully renovated it myself. There is a basement with storage and laundry; the 1st floor has an open floor-plan with kitchen and living room. There are two bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs.

The space

I think of my condo as a cozy oasis in the heart of the city. Since I did the renovation myself, I put a lot of effort into making it as nice as possible, and I like to keep everything super-clean. I have an eclectic collection of books in the living room and guest room that my guests often like to check out. The artwork is a mix of cool stuff from different places, as well as canvas-printed photos that I took myself. I make an effort to make people feel at home.

Guest access

You will have your own room, with a very comfortable queen size futon, and access to the bathroom with soaking tub. There is also a 1/2 bath downstairs. You will have full access to the kitchen, and can help yourself to any extras for cooking such as spices, sauces, etc. You'll be free to use the washer/dryer located in the basement. You can use the entertainment center including tv, stereo, and dvd, as well as a modest dvd collection. I don't have cable TV, just an HD antenna which picks up a few local selections, but most people are not here to watch TV! Breakfast will be self-serve; I try to keep an adequate selection of juices, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and coffee or tea which you will be welcome to help yourself to.

Interaction with guests

I am out at work during weekdays, and on weekends I'm often outside or in the mountains, but whenever I can, I enjoy chatting with guests and helping with suggestions on places to visit.

Forrest was a wonderful host! His place is conveniently located 15 minutes bus ride (or 30 minutes walk) away from downtown. This was my first time using Airbnb and staying here just eased any pre-trip worries I had. If I'm to visit Denver again, I would definitely stay here again :)

Forrest sent a very comprehensive welcome packet, which got me up and running on the neighborhood, transportation, etc. Very thoughtful.

Forrest was a great host, very laid back and friendly. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable in his home. Although the bed in the guest room is a futon, you wouldn't even know it. It wasn't until we were packing up to check out that my husband said, "oh, this is a futon? Wow it was really comfortable. " Forrest's home is super cute and tidy. I was occupied for the weekend at a seminar downtown and Forrest's home was perfectly tucked away from the downtown core while just a short and enjoyable walk to anything and everything we needed for the duration of our stay. There is a grocery store across the street and street parking right outside his place. My husband is a cyclist and rode everyday we were there. We had a great trip and didn't want to leave. We would love to stay with Forrest the next time we are in Denver and would recommend staying with him for anyone visiting the area. Thanks Forrest! :)

This was my first time using airbnb, and I had a great stay at Forrest's condo. The pictures and description are accurate, and it's an awesome neighborhood. There are tons of restaurants less than a few minutes away by walking, and taking a Lyft ride downtown (Coors field area) is only $6 one way. Also, a Trader Joes just opened up literally across the street, which makes it super convenient for food. I was in Denver on vacation to mountain bike for a few days, and Forrest let me store my bike in the condo so I didn't have to worry about leaving it in my car. It was great chatting about various trails in Colorado with Forrest. I'd stay here again if I ever visited Denver again!

Forrest is a great host. He straight made me feel welcome. The room was great! It had all things I was hoping fore: a good desk to work on, ironing board, some coffee. I liked the location as well, convenient and close to the city centre.

Place was centrally located, less than 10 min drive from all the places we wanted to see like the botanical gardens, museums, popular shopping/dining streets. Was also right by a Trader Joe's, which was convenient. There were also several walkable restaurants nearby. Communication with host was quick and easy. Parking in the area was easy as well. Condo was very clean.

Forrest User ProfileForrest is a superhost.

I grew up next to beautiful Lake Champlain in Vermont, and then lived in New Orleans for 10 years before moving to Denver in 2007. I love the city, and my neighborhood, and being close to the adventure playground of the Rockies. I've done a decent amount of traveling and know the value of a cozy, friendly place to stay. My parents always had exchange students staying at our house, and I've been an exchange student in Colombia. Hosting with Airbnb has been an amazing experience, and it's always fun hearing about people's travels, and their experience of Denver, as well as giving any advice I can on my area.
Some favorite cities (other than Denver!): Montreal, Burlington, VT; New York, San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro.
I look forward to more travels as a guest with Airbnb, as I believe it really gives you so much more of a real feeling for a place, and it's a much richer experience if you can interact with a local.
