The space
Recently renovated by us (two young Architects), our late 1820's sandstone Barn is a truly unique accommodation experience. Our award winning conversion, incorporates light and a refined material palette to accentuate the historic building fabric. Our Barn is located in Hobart's CBD just mere minutes from city's major cultural and gastronomic attractions including the historic precincts of Salamanca + Battery Point. Wake up to city views, relax over a latte at Betsy, pick up a picnic lunch from Pigeon Hole Bakers and cap it all off with a perfectly plated dinner at Aloft!

As designers our approach to the Barn has always been to keep as much of the (incredibly beautiful and richly textured) existing building fabric as possible. The original sandstone walls are exposed both internally and externally. The timber shingled roof and existing beams contrast with the new kitchen and bathroom insertion. The Barn is light and open, yet simultaneously cosy.
