Creekside cottage is steps from a lovely beach. The cabin sits in a magical and tranquil setting surrounded by sea, creek and forest. Creekside is perfect for either couples or families.

The space

The Creekside Cottage is located in the scenic splendor of the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. This completely private self-contained waterfront cottage can become your own private retreat. The cabin is cozy enough for that romantic getaway for two, as you relax in your own hot tub under the stars. The cottage is also big enough for family adventure! With three bedrooms, an open, well-stocked kitchen, dining and sitting area with fireplace, the cottage is spacious enough to accommodate the entire family. There is a waterfront spa around the corner at the Tuwanek Hotel for you parents and a pirate ship complete with treasure for the kids.

Guest access

The second queen bedroom will be unlocked to accommodate those groups that have up to six people so please ensure when booking the correct number of adults and children are listed.

Other things to note

Creekside is located in beautiful Tuwanek, BC. Tuwanek does not have any shops to stock up your supplies however it is a short 10 min. drive into Sechelt should you need anything.

If you like to hike, there is a wonderful, kid friendly, trail system just up the road called Hidden Grove. Also be sure to check out Tetrahedon Provincial Park which is on your doorstep as well as Burnett Falls, Smugglers Cove and the whole host of other hikes around the coast.

If you prefer to be on the water, either bring your own boat or Pedals and Paddles is just around the corner. They rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. Please check their website for hours of operation.

If you like to dive, this area is rated in 101 dives as one of the best on the West Coast. Shore diving is accessible from the small spit directly across from Creekside Cottage. There are two nice shore dives from the local spit / beach which are great for beginners and experts alike. The sandy bottom from the main spit to the Lamb Islet is about 40 feet in depth and great spot for newer divers to practice their skills. Enjoy the view some of the fantastic marine life that dots the inlet. Come visit the seals and Wolf Eels and you might even spot the local resident octopus.

We recently spent a long weekend at Creekside Cottage and had such a fantastic time! With a view of the mountains, inlet and the beach that is right in front of the house we were instantly so happy with the location of the cabin. A small creek runs along the side of the property, and it was a beautiful soundtrack to our weekend. Inside, the kitchen has everything you need, plus some unexpected staples, the fire is so cozy to sit and sip a glass of wine by, the hot tub under the stars is heaven, and the beds are so comfortable. As soon as we walked in the door we felt relaxed and at home, and it felt like time slowed right down. We spent lots of time down at the beach with the kids (and the kids LOVED the pirate ship play structure on the property), and going for walks in the forest. Creekside Cottage is great for kids not only because the beach is so close, but also because the cabin has a great selection of games, puzzles, toys and books for the kids to use. The town of Sechelt is only a 10 minute drive away and we also spent an afternoon exploring the boutiques, second hand stores and coffee shops there. It was well worth the trip! Kate was a great host, and was very responsive to the questions we had before our trip. It was hard to leave at the end of our stay, but we will definitely be back!
