You’ll have the house to yourself.
This beautiful and charming house was built in the 1860´s and has just undergone a total renovation. The house is idyllic located in the scenic Småland countryside 13 kilometers outside of Växjö. There is a lake in close vicinity to the house.

The space
The house is about 150 m2 and outside you have access to the garden and forest. There is a private small bathing site and boat place in the lake 700 meters further down the gravel road. There you have access to a smaller boat.

Great place for swimming, fishing (need to buy a permit which is not included), enjoying nature and the beautiful surroundings. The place is peaceful and silent.

Guest access
The house has a fully equipped kitchen and possibility to barbecue outside where there are several spots to sit in the sun. Living room with fireplace downstairs and a dining room. Big living room with TV upstairs and access to the sunny balcony. Bathroom with shower and toilet upstairs and another toilet downstairs.

Other things to note
Remember to bring bedlinen and towels.

If you want to rent bedlinen and towels (one big and one small towel) please let me know well in advance and we will try to arrange it. The price is 15 euro per person.

Final cleaning is done by yourself. Please be advised that if your cleaning is not sufficient we will charge 170 euro. Thanks.

Location

Växjö, Kronoberg County, Sweden

Set admist the forests, meadows and a beautiful lake (wonderful for swimming) you can spend days in this house all year being fully activated - or relaxed :-). In the summertime sheep, horses and cows walk in the meadows in the surrounding area (no animals belonging to the farm any more). In the autumn walk the forest and pick mushrooms and berries. In the winter (if it is a snowy one) enjoy a beautiful winter scenery, trying cross country skiing. The spring is absolutely gorgeous when all flowers and trees wake to life.

For excursions in the area you can visit Astrid Lindgrens World or Öland - both 1,5 hours drive rom the house. Closer by in different locations you have the Kingdom of Glass (Glasriket) where you can visit and see handblown glass. In Växjö you have facilities as tennis courts, swimming hall and the Guide Michelin restaurant "PM & Vänner" among other things. The medieval ruin of Kronoberg Castle is only 15 kilometers away.

During your stay
The house makes part of a farm with two "twin-houses" facing each other. In the other house lives Yvonne & Lars (my parents), who are available for questions or to give you further information and recommendations that the surrounding area has to offer. Although the houses are located closely to each other, they are still very private, both having their main garden and furnitures on the back of the houses.
