After having lived most of my live in Switzerland - with a short stop over (1 year) to Australia - I and my family moved in 2008 to Hakuba in the Northern Alps of Japan, where we have been living ever since. Hakuba is well known as an excellent ski resort since the Nagano Winter Olympic games in 1998, where it hosted the alpine, ski jump and cross-country disciplines. It's also a great place for other outdoor activities like hiking, paragliding and canyoning just to mention a few. I love the mountains (lived most of my live in the mountains) as well as mountain biking, cycling, skiing and flying remote gliders and helicopters. I also used to fly gliders in Switzerland which I haven't tried yet here in Japan. My wife and I started running our Bed and Breakfast in 2009. It gives us the great opportunity to welcome people from all over the world and making sure they all have a great time while in Hakuba. It fills our heart with joy seeing our guests coming back with a big smile after a great day in the mountains.
