Whether you're looking for a day at the beach, swimming in the pond, hiking along the old trails or simply sitting on a deck enjoying a book, the Beach House is your home away from home.

The space
Eat as a family in a large, eat-in kitchen or sit out on the deck and sip your morning coffee while you take in the southern views of Newman Sound and Swale Island. The space includes 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, and a large living room with video and board games to enjoy.

There is a large backyard that rests atop a steep sandy bank which opens to the white sandy beach. Sit on the large deck and enjoy a beverage after a day on the beach, while your children play in the fresh ocean air.

Parking available for multiple cars. Fridge, stove, washer and dryer on site. Tea and coffee available. Wi-fi included. BBQ on deck. Bikes available for rent.

Neighbourhood highlights

Sandy Cove beach sits below a large sandy bank which was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It's fine, white sand makes it among one of the most loved summer vacation destinations in the province of Newfoundland.

Just a two minute walk "down below" will take you to the main entrance of Sandy Cove Beach or turn left to Crooked Tree Park - a well known swimming hole and playground for kids. A beautiful 20 min hike straight up Sandy Cove Head will open up to the most beautiful views of Bonavista Bay you can imagine. Have a look through the telescope and don't forget your camera.

Salvage, one the oldest European fishing settlements in North America, breeds the classic Newfoundland charm of waterfront fishing sheds, tilting wharves, and rocky headlands.

Sandy Cove, Eastport and nearby Salvage are home to the Old Trails. The Sandy Cove Entrance to The Old Trails is located in Crooked Tree Park on the Ridge Trail that leads to a picnic site and volcanic dyke before it climbs up to the hills and ponds overlooking Newman Sound. It can take anywhere from 3-6 hours to hike the challenging terrain and complete the trail to Salvage.

Splash and Putt, located in Terra Nova National Park, is only a twenty minute drive from the beach house. Terra Nova is also renowned for its world class camping and hiking, and as well as golf. The beach house is approximately 3 hours from St. John's, NL, the oldest capital city in North America !

Hi everyone! Please check out my beautiful home on Sandy Cove Beach in NL. While I was raised and reside in St. John's, NL, Sandy Cove is my vacation retreat and my family home. I am a Nurse Practitioner and a mother to a handsome almost 2 year old boy! My partner is from Turkey and we love to travel and spend time in other people's air bnbs!
