Welcome to Big Blue!

Located in historic downtown Charlottetown, Big Blue is a bright and cottage-y home just a stone's throw away from Victoria Row, Peake's Quay, Confederation Trail, and all of the restaurants, breweries, parks, coffee shops, and stores that our city has to offer.

A gas station and convenience store are on the very next block and a full grocery store is an easy walk. Off-street parking is available for one vehicle.

The space
Big Blue is thought to have been built between 1830 and 1860 and is classified by Charlottetown's Heritage Board as an early example of Maritime Vernacular Cottage construction. Inside, however, Big Blue was at one point converted to a side-by-side duplex - which is how it remains today. The other side of the building that you don't see on AirBnB is my happy home. Besides a common door on the front porch, each side is completely independent of one another. However, don't hesitate to say hello or ask me any questions if I am around!

I am a professional musician from Fort Erie, Ontario. After a few annual trips to Prince Edward Island for vacation, I decided to move here in 2013. I immediately fell in love with the community and all of the support and respect that islanders have for arts, music, culture, and history. I studied music at Humber College in Toronto where I earned a degree as a guitar major and I'm currently quite active in the island's musical landscape as a singer/songwriter as well as an accompanist and band member for other projects. If you're a music lover and are curious to hear what I do, check for my name in the island's monthly arts & culture newspaper, "The Buzz" - or if you see me around, ask me to play you a song!

During your stay
Since I live next door - feel free to introduce yourself or ask me any questions if you see me around! One my favourite parts of a PEI summer is meeting new people from all over the world who come to visit.
