This is the quintessential B&B experience. Can't get any better. Carol and Quenten are warm and generous hosts. Their home is beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean, surrounded by a lovely flower garden. The aroma of roses filled the place. And the food was haute cuisine.

Carol and Joe (Quenten) were fantastic hosts. They made us very welcome right from the start and we really enjoyed the home cooked dinner that they offer as an optional extra. Both the accommodation and the meal were extremely good value. We are looking forward to staying with them again when they have completed the building and development of their country estate near Riversdale

Carol and Quenten are delightful hosts - very friendly, kind and genuine. They made us comfortable from the very start and made our stay a memorable one. We absolutely loved their home, it's very well appointed and the collectibles, furnishing, garden etc is brilliant. They are seasoned hosts who have thoughtfully arranged everything for their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations over breakfast and dinner (which Carol prepared for us and was lovely) and were looked after just like family. They even gave us some fruit and venison from their farm! Will go back if we get over that way again.

I would say this is one of the most comfortable, pleasant & well-appointed BnBs or homes I've stayed in, w/ convenient nearby walks in a reserve full of morning song birds. The optional dinner w/ Carol & Joe was an excellent bonus; the most gracious hosts. And convenient access to nearby Highway 2.

Absolutely Fabulous. Our needs were anticipated at every step of the way. We were able to cross the road and play golf at the Lansdowne golf course. When we arrived we immediately felt at home- no lull in the conversations. The beds were very comfortable and a very quiet location. Both breakfasts were tasty. We will definitely go there again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We enjoyed this stay. Carol and Quenten's home has terrific views. They were very welcoming and even invited us to join them going to a play in the evening which we really appreciated. The food was delicious - venison courtesy of Quentin's hunting. Thanks for the extra effort needed to provide gluten free food.

A lovely home, and gracious hosts! Very convenient location. Guest rooms are in a private hall. Carol provided wonderful meals, for a moderate cost.

We enjoy people and sharing our home and the Wairarapa . Quenten(Joe) as he is known to most loves the outdoors and is willing to provide hunting guidance or walking experiences if required. We have travelled to Alaska and Canada as well as Australia and hope to do more as time allows.
Carol loves to cook for visitors and friends and has an appreciation for gardens and the all things nice in life. Shopping is a real passion so she is always willing to provide trips.
