Interaction with guests

Christine and Brett (your hosts) love the Otways. Having lived in Victoria for over 23 years, most of their spare time has been involved with visiting the tranquillity and beauty of the Otway National Parks.

Christine and Brett love bushwalking, birds and most of all trees. So much so they now live at the edge of the Great Otway National Park on a 200 acre property, the site of the Otway Valley Views Farm Cottage. They are members of Land for Wildlife, The Eastern Otway Land Care Group, Organic Garden group, Climate Change action group and Agro Forestry.

Their love for the environment has led to them planting trees. They have planted over 65,000 Australian Native trees at Otway Valley Views and Otways Number 105. This an ongoing venture where local seeds are propagated and planting begins in August after the soil has been ploughed and weeds have been eradicated.

They have an organic Fruit Orchard of over 60 trees where guests can share fruit in season: Cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums and every variety of apples, love the Otway Soil.

Nice and quiet place. Great house with everything one would need. No Wi-Fi but it forced us to disconnect from the world and enjoy the quiet. Great host, Brett had great tips on places to visit in the area and was very easy going.

Staying at the Otway Valley Views house was fantastic, beautiful views out of every window from the little house and great blinds if you aren't quite ready for the sunshine yet!! The hosts made our stay very comfortable with all the little extra touches in the house and around the property. A wonderful little place to spend a few days for both exploring the area and being cosy inside by the fire exploring the DVD collection or relaxing in the spa! The house was also well setup kitchen wise which we loved as we were able to cook when we wanted to.

What an amazing place! We really enjoyed our stay at the Otway Valley Views, and Brett and Christine did everything possible to make it an extra special trip. This place is a gem - we didn't want to leave! And you couldn't ask for nicer hosts; all the little extras were so very much appreciated. Thank you - would love to return one day!

We LOVED this accommodation and experience. Great hosts that were both knowledgable about the local area and also gave us complete privacy. Gorgeous little treats (home made biscuits, bread, local jam, fresh eggs) to welcome us. Comfortable accommodation with everything you need, plus more to enjoy yourself. The property is stunning and so peaceful. What more could you ask for!

I am a keen student of the Natural Environment, trying to preserve and recreate our natural environment. We live on a 200 acre farm and planted over 65,000 native trees.
We grow all our own organic fruit and vegetables, love our geese and free range chickens and of course our two dogs.
I love walking into the Great Otway National Park and I enjoy cooking our own food and travel.
