An authentic, cheerful and fun coastal cottage at Heart's Delight, Trinity Bay- a small quiet outport fishing village centrally located on the "Baccalieu Trail", or the "Cardiac Coast" as it's affectionally called. (Heart's Delight- Heart's Desire- Heart's Content). The "Trail" is one of the four eastern Newfoundland tourist driving routes. Great location for mini road trips throughout the small coastal villages around Newfoundlands Avalon Peninsula. Comfy expensive beds, super-fun neighbours.

The space
Don't forget to order/Google your National Geographic Travel Map of Eastern Newfoundland. (St. John's Map too!) Not available in stores. Very helpful.

The house is a 3 bedroom 1940's bungalow restored to a rustic-luxe finish, with great beds, premium linens and a great ocean view. The property is perfect for those who like open space with miles of quiet unexplored oceanfront. Have a fire overlooking the ocean. Go for long walks. Or take a challenge with a vintage bike on the coastal trails.

This year the house will be used for CapeRace Cultural Adventures tours, however, it will be available in the off-season and dates that do not get booked with CapeRace. Check with us even if the dates appear blocked as CapeRace often reconfigures their tours resulting inn availability. We can also offer CapeRace-level alternatives on the Avalon and Bonavista Peninsulas.

From St. John's- 1 hr 15 mins. Excellent access to all eastern tourist driving routes:

From Cape Shore Trail driving route- 45 mins
From Irish Loop driving route- 1 hr
From Heritage Run driving route- 1 hr 30 mins

The house is classed as 'Rustic Charm' or 'Eco-Luxe', with a unique combination of new and original furnishings complimented by luxury linens and amenities for a comfortable authentic experience. Great for short side trips from St. John's for those with limited time to explore the scenic historical outport communities.

Located directly on the ocean with immediate access to the original 100 year old fisherman's trails that connect the towns. Hike for hours.

Other things to note
Some interesting trivia - hometown of Bob Crewe's mother. He was a songwriter, dancer, singer, manager, and record producer. He was known for producing, and co-writing "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Walk Like a Man", "Rag Doll", "Silence Is Golden", "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Bye, Bye, Baby" . He named his recored company- what else- Heart's Delight- that was sold to BMI. Few in the town of 700 know this story.
