Tansi! Tanshi! Hola! Bienvenu(e)!
Welcome to my bright, quiet basement suite, located within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Broadway, the river bank parks, downtown, and the University of Saskatchewan. Guests say the bed is great.
It's private, with a separate entrance.
There's easy on-street parking and a bus stop one block away.
I use only biodegradable/non-chemical cleaners, because water is life.
I'm a friendly host, happy to help, or leave you in peace!
This suite is ideal for business trips, or short work or academic assignments either downtown or at the U of S. Some guests are just arriving in Saskatoon and getting settled.
This suite, while it's a basement, is bright. Good light and air comes in through the windows. The furnishings are comfortable and of good quality.
I genuinely enjoy guests.
This is a wonderfully quiet and leafy neighbourhood. It's like a village, really. But we're five minutes from all of the action and shops in the Broadway area, and ten minutes from the river, and fifteen to the U of S and downtown if you are walking.
The entrance is down the driveway, through the wooden gate, past the enormous cottonwood tree, and in the back door. Your suite has a private door; and it is completely self-contained. The only thing you share is the laundry.
Interaction with guests
I live upstairs from the suite, so am happy to answer questions, if I'm available, between 8am and 8pm.
I'm a friendly person, and have lots of information about local places and events, but if you want your privacy, I will respect that.
Other things to note
If you would like beginner 'ukulele lessons, where we sing and play together, please let me know and we can arrange a time. I charge $15 per hour and provide the instruments. The 'ukulele is such a great instrument -- in a short time, you can really be playing!
I cannot receive mail on behalf of guests.
No non-registered guests.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.
No frying or grilling allowed.
I am a happy homeowner in Saskatoon and pleased to share my city and residence with visitors, either on short or long stays in this welcoming prairie city. I've lived in many places, and been warmly welcomed, and so I know what it is to have a comfortable quiet place to rest and enjoy in a new location. I work from home, and it's my haven. I'm friendly, but won't be bothering you; if anyone needs directions and guidance, suggestions, or something in the suite, I'm happy to help.
I love Moloka'i (Hawaii), Cadaqués and La Maragatería (Spain), Siboney (Cuba), and Cortes Island, B.C.
Hablo castellaño y estaría encantada recibirles a mis huéspedes en español.
Je parle le français et je serai ravie de vous recevoir.
