Escape to and enjoy the crystal blue water, fresh air, and serenity at our knotty pine, 3 bedroom, 1074 sq ft cottage which is across the road and down a foot path to Lake Huron. The shoreline is limestone rock with a gradual entry into the water.
We are located close to Bruce Peninsula National Park with its famous Grotto, Singing Sands Beach, Lindsay Tract bike trails, & the town of Tobermory. Enjoy campfires/stargazing at our firepit.

The space
The shoreline across the road is a limestone rock shelf with a gradual entry into the water. Here you can sit, swim, float and wade while watching the sun set over Lake Huron.
Our family cottage is located on a 2 acre lot, surrounded by nature with no cottages to the left, back or right of us. It is surrounded on 3 sides by brush and a young pine forest. Enjoy the peace and serenity of the outdoors and at night, star gaze while sitting at the large campfire located on our property. Due to so few cottages around, we have very little light pollution, for an amazing star gazing experience.

Inside, our cottage is very unique as most of it was handcrafted. All interior walls are a tongue and groove pine, which creates a true cottage feel. Our cottage has a main living area that boasts cathedral ceilings, an exposed loft area, and a comfortable living area with a couch, futon and chair surrounded by an electric fireplace. Enjoy a wide selection of movies to watch on the television / DVD player in this room. A Wii system is connected in this room for that perfect rainy day activity.
This living area has a great west facing view through its 3 big windows, that when opened allow for a beautiful lake breeze to enter. The living room is connected to the dining room which looks up into the kitchen. On the main floor you will also find a bathroom with sink and toilet, and the 3rd bedroom that has a queen bed. This bedroom has 2 big windows that open facing west.
Upstairs you will find an open loft overlooking the living/dinning area. A full bathroom with tub/shower/sink and toilet is located between the 2 upstairs bedrooms. One bedroom has 2 single beds and it's big window faces East looking onto the young pine forest. The master bedroom has a queen bed, electric fireplace, and a door that leads to the Juliette Balcony that has a stunning view of Lake Huron. This balcony is a highlight of our cottage.
Laundry Facilities (washer and dryer) are provided on the main floor.
The cottage has 2 decks. The front of the cottage, has a wrap around deck that faces West & South, providing plenty of space to soak up the sun, sunsets and lake breeze. Meals can be shared here at the patio table with 6 chairs, umbrella and 2 additional Muskoka chairs. There is a second deck at the back that faces East where you'll find a propane BBQ and Muskoka chairs . The view from this deck is only nature. A relaxing place to view the sunrise and sometimes deer while enjoying your morning cup of coffee.

Location

Tobermory, Ontario, Canada

Our cottage is located in a very quiet area of the Bruce Peninsula but yet is close enough to enjoy all that the Peninsula has to offer. You can access the lake easily across the road from our cottage. Our cottage is located on 2 acres of land and there are no cottages around us on the left, the right or at the back. You are surrounded on 3 sides by nature. Inside, the cottage is cozy but yet very roomy . Having the second downstairs bathroom is very helpful when you have a full house. Having 2 decks and an upstairs balcony allows you the choice of where you want to relax and enjoy the outdoor views. Star gazing is superb at the fire pit at night and from the star gazing windows in the upstairs bedrooms. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful rugged area of Ontario.
Please be aware of quiet hours between 11pm and 8am.

We are a family of five that love being at our cottage when we can and would like to give other families an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors there when we cannot. As we plan to use this cottage for our home someday, we hope that those families sharing our gem will take care of the handmade workmanship that has gone into building this cottage.
