Laurelwood is a 2-room suite in a single-family home close to downtown Asheville. Located in a quiet neighborhood, it has a private entrance, a small porch area, and off-street parking. 5 to 10 dollar Uber ride or 5 to 10 minute drive.

The space

The space includes a sitting room with a queen size futon couch, flat screen TV with basic cable, microwave, refrigerator, and a coffeepot. Tea and coffee are provided. In the bedroom is a queen-size bed which was designed and handcrafted by the owner. WiFi is available. Laurelwood is 5 minutes from Whole Foods and less than 10 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Other things to note

Laurelwood is convenient to downtown Asheville via free way access. There is also a busline with a bus stop less than a 5 minute walk. Uber is often used by my guests.

Anne's spot was so convenient and lovely. Check-in was easy. A very short drive to downtown Asheville (~5 mins). The spot is quiet in the evenings, you can hear the rain or crickets outside. It felt like a total getaway. The bed was lovely and the space was clean and cozy. It had all the basic amenities like water, coffee, tea, and popcorn. Close to a grocery store and gas station and very easy access to the highway. We didn't get a chance to meet Anne while we were there, but she left great instructions and lots of info about exploring Asheville. Loved this spot would stay again!

Laurelwood was clean, comfortable, and was a great location as far as distance to downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

Anne's place was perfect for a long weekend away. It's in a quiet area that is absolutely beautiful and only about a 10min Uber ride into the city. If you get the chance ask her about her woodworking it's amazing. The room was perfect and there were even little chocolates on our pillows when we arrived. Would definitely recommend.

Anne's place was welcoming and charming. We appreciated having a separate bedroom from the multi-purpose room. The mini "kitchen" area was really nice to have! The extra blankets were great when power went out 1st night but more brief 2nd night. Anne said extended outage isn't normal. The many welcoming treats like coffee, tea, cheese, beer, & candy was a sweet touch! The atmosphere at her place was also enjoyable inside and out! We appreciated the privacy given and the quiet private street. The location and value was good, not too far from downtown, etc...

This was a great location and house to stay in! If we could give it 6 stars we would. Anne was great to work with and so sweet. When we come back to Asheville we are going to stay here again!! My only regret was not hanging out more on the amazing porch they have. TIP: Get up early and make some coffee and hang out on the porch. -Alex
