A Very Unique Historical Inn - built in 1929- First Inn to be built in Tobermory; Canada by the Belrose Brothers who founded our town- Tobermory. We are a 4 Bedroom Inn with a Beautiful Fashion Boutique - A wonderful location right on the harbour; overlooking Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Walking distance to all the attractions. Boat rides; nature trails; restaurants; shopping; and a beautiful boardwalk around our harbour. You are in the center of all the attractions. Nature at its very finest.
The space
Welcome..
We are on the waters edge; facing the harbour in the middle of the quaint village of Tobermory. Surrounded by boats and restaurants. Take a boat ride or stroll around the harbour. We are where the famous Bruce Trail begins. You can spend hours hiking these pristine forested trails. Or simply enjoy a homemade craft brew on the waterfront deck of our neighbours quaint little pub.
Our guest house is in an ideal location.
We have a quaint and cozy shared lounge at the front of our building with a huge window facing the water overlooking the Tobermory harbour.
This is the main entrance for the Inn and our boutique.
Visit our Famous Boutique- “The Marco Polo Trading Company” We brand our own unique fashion designs and accessories since 1992. Offering high vibration fashions; offering comfort; colour; unique design and breathability. Perfect for your adventures in natures paradise.
In our lounge; we offer free wifi and Simple cooking items; toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, fridge; dishes and cutlery and an outside barbecue with an air fryer and picnic tables for simple meals and picnics. We just ask you to please wash your dishes; put away your garbage in our big green bear bin outside of the barbecue area- tidy up after yourself leave it the way you found it.
Our heritage Inn offers four quaint and cozy private bedrooms upstairs overlooking the water with their own locked door. It is safe and cozy.
Our heritage inn is the “original Inn” of Tobermory. Built in 1929. Built by the Belrose Brothers. Thus the name. Belrose Inn. This makes us truly unique.
Our lovely boutique Marco Polo offers finds from all over the world. Our fashion designer and owner makes her own fashions as well as travels all over the world to collect unique finds. This is an amazing collection suiting every age and fashion taste. As well as a unique guest house that encourages swapping travel adventures and amazing stories. We believe travelling is great for your mind; body and soul.
Check in at the Marco Polo Boutique when you arrive. We will give you a tour of our Inn and show you why this is an amazing place to visit.
Free parking at the back of our building off of head street. You will turn right at the tennis courts. We are the first driveway on the left side of the road. See google maps for directions.
Guest access
Access to the Inn is at the front of the building. There is an entrance for the boutique and a separate entrance for the Inn both at the front of the building as indicated by signs. You will park behind the building. We face Bay Street and the back of our building faces head street. See google maps for easy directions.
Other things to note
This is a heritage building built in 1929.. It is the original Inn of Tobermory.
We have a drilled well for our water. As in days of old; bathrooms are shared. We have four quaint cozy rooms sharing two full bathrooms upstairs and a half bathrooms downstairs off the kitchen/ lounge. Please be patient and mindful of your fellow travellers; your water usage and scheduling showers around other guests. This is a guest house we encourage travellers to meet each other and share your travel stories; tips and adventures. Please be mindful of your noise level. Wear ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Use headphones on your laptops - please observe quiet after 9:00pm so as not to disturb others. Please enjoy yourselves. Be at peace and enjoy nature at its very finest... I am so proud to offer you this location in this amazing place. Thank you.

Tobermory is part of a protected biosphere. Why? It is nature at its best and most pristine. We have “The Grotto” - “singing sands” with rare wild orchids. Fresh water everywhere. We are at the top tip of a beautiful peninsula surrounded by cliffs and 1000’s of acres of trees and protected forest. Fresh air, unpolluted night skies which means amazing star gazing and the Northern Borealis. Swim, hike, meditate in nature, yoga on the natural platform or simply rest. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. For souvenirs; Fabulous shopping at our own beautiful boutique- Marco Polo..designing my own fashions from all over the world..along with many other found treasures. Come and enjoy it all. Wonderful restaurants; boat tours; art galleries. We even have our own home crafted beer. Tobermory brew.
