It was the perfect place to explore Michigan's Lower Pennisula, centrally located but rural and rustic. We very much enjoyed the spaces Sally's created for her guests comfort and convience, providing all the expected amenities, and more, with an artistic flair which makes it very unique. We appreciated the local knowledge Sally was able to provide, it helped us make the most of our visit. It was a welcoming, relaxing place to come home to after busy days of hiking and exploring. We very much enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay a few days longer.

This is a wonderful place to stay, especially if you are looking to explore the Leelanau peninsula. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. Sally was a wonderful host, very attentive and had great suggestions for what to see in the area.

Sally's farm is such a beautiful place to stay. She really has an eye for all the details to make a space cozy, inviting, and visually-appealing. It was a pleasure talking with her and learning more about her place and the work they've done. I think our very favorite thing was the outdoor shower and the essential oils she has available for guest use. All in all a very relaxing weekend!

This is a beautiful place. We stayed in the "artist studio" unit, which is comfortable, well-equipped, cosy, a beautiful space. The bathhouse and the lounge are spotlessly clean and well-equipped. In the lounge, one Plus is a large library of interesting books (including stuff for the kids). Going out to the Loo in the night had a nice payoff: seeing the vast and starry night sky! The hosts are suitably attentive and friendly. . (We had to figure out a way to cook the pasta we brought, in the kitchenette in the lodge...there was no pasta pot. But there are real knives and other such, which is rare in guest kitchens.) Even though there are shared facilities, there's plenty of privacy. We'll go back, and we're recommending it to friends; we had a wonderful time there.

We've been renting places in northern Michigan for over a decade, and Sally's lovely farm compound has just become our favorite spot. The rural landscape is beautiful; the rehabbed farm structures have been made comfortable and colorful; the wide opening on the communal living room lets you watch the weather change; the outdoor shower wonderful and finally, the firepit for nighttime talking is inspired. Sally is welcoming, clear and helpful. Her artistic eye has made everything beautiful.

Enjoy beauty? Enjoy leaving a minimal footprint? Enjoy art? Enjoy kind people and sweet dogs? Don't mind a little walk to share facilities which are kept in great condition? Like being close to nature? This is your place. Want to be in a sterile box with no individuality? keep moving.
