It's conveniently in the woods but close to town.

Felt welcome Height hood was a little rundown but the secluded nature of the property made it ok. The brey of the neighbor donkey and honk of the geese as well as the herd of deer that visited evenings made it quaint and relaxing. There was distant road noise that was tolerable. Our only suggestion would be for the proprietor to look into sewer gas smell emanating from under the sink. Opening the windows for some ventilation helped but it was pungent at times, the spoils of an old house w a septic system. Thanks. It was a nice get away and is a well kept family treasure. Wireless would be nice.

Response from Max:
The guy who installed the new septic system is looking into what is causing the smell under the sink.

Great little place to stay. Very warm and inviting. You feel like you're in the country but really only a minute from town. Wish we had had an extra day or too just to relax on the porch. Will definitely stay again.

The Ranch House was very well kept up and we felt at home the few days we stayed.

Really terrific little hideaway. I didn't believe the place could live up to the pictures, but it did. Max has done a great job renovating the place. It didn't matter that it was rainy and cold. Almost made it better! We will return and r commend to friends.

Very nice place to stay. Comfortable and very clean. Felt secluded even though we were just a few minutes outside of town. We'll definitely be back for our next trip.
