House rules
This place isn’t suitable for infants (0–2 yrs) and the host doesn’t allow pets.
Room 4 is a bright and airy room at the front of the house with a charming view along the street towards the Mairie. There is a very comfortable double bed plus a large leather sofa where you can relax and have a coffee or tea. There is a cute private bathroom with a shower cubicle, toilet and basin. The original black marble fireplace is still here, although not open for use, which gives the room lots of character.

The space
Les Deux Rives is a beautiful house with charm and comfort. It sits in the River Pique with the river running around both sides of the house, hence the name. The village of Cierp-Gaud is delightful, with pretty French houses that just please the eye. Within walking distance there is a wonderful cafe (Cafe-Bistro de La Pique), fantastic boulangerie, a Post Office, newsagent (where you can get your fishing licence) , florist, hairdressers, supermarket, mechanics and a great Pizzeria. There are also doctors, dentists and ambulance services if needed. We are 20-30 minutes from ski slopes, in the middle of amazing cycle country, 20 minutes from the Spanish border (if you fancy tapas), surrounded by areas for fishing and there is so much more including horse riding, adventure parks, white water rafting or sitting outside one of the many cafes in Luchon watching the world go by.

Guest access
The dining room is in the basement and is where all guests will take breakfast. This room leads into the garden where guests are welcome to take their breakfast on warmer days. There is also a front terrace area, which can be used by guests at any time.

Other things to note
We have 2 small dogs that are friendly. One is old and the other a puppy, still training! She still barks when excited but we have been working hard to keep her calm and quiet. Another point to note is that the dining room is in the basement, so there are 2 flights of stairs to manage, so this is not suitable if you find stairs difficult.

I love travel, meeting new people, trying new things, cooking, reading and my dogs. I am lucky enough to live in such a beautiful part of the world and have opened this bed and breakfast in partnership with my brother. We want everyone to feel really welcome and at home. It makes me so happy when a guest has slept well, exclaimed over the fantastic breakfast and said that they will visit us again. Our big goal, now the house is restored, is to speak French. We can both get by.......but only just! Nous apprenons mais c'est très lent!
