Ghyll Pool is a comfortable cosy log cabin that is set amongst eighteen acres of delightful mature woodland. Overlooking the entrance to the Langdale Valley, this is an ideal location for those who want a peaceful retreat, who enjoy walking or who want to visit the many attractions that the Lake District has to offer.

The space
Accommodating up to four guests, Ghyll Pool welcomes pets ( please contact if you wish to bring more than one dog) and children and is an ideal place for a family holiday with the use of leisure facilities including a communal swimming pool. The cabin has a large deck, which can be enclosed, where children can safely play and where an al fresco meal can be enjoyed whilst taking in the uninterrupted views through the trees over Skelwith Bridge to Black Crag beyond.

The communal building at Neaum Crag, houses a small swimming pool with sauna (small additional charge for the use of the sauna and please note the swimming pool closes from mid-November to early March) together with a table tennis, coin operated laundry with automatic washing machine and dryer.
Free WIFI is available at the communal building. There is some mobile data signal depending on your network.

Ghyll Pool offers a wonderful opportunity to escape the pressures of everyday life without being out of touch. The communal building has Wi-Fi and wired internet connection and a pay phone for those with poor mobile phone reception.

The area provides a wealth of wonderful walks from a gentle stroll to a more challenging mountain hike and keen walkers can enjoy a week of walking directly from the front doorstep.

Neaum Crag is about three miles west of Ambleside at Skelwith Bridge where the beautiful Langdale Valley begins. It is near to Windermere and has a wealth of activities and attractions to enjoy nearby including: golf, fishing, South Lakeland's historic houses and gardens, lake cruises and the sites associated with literary heritage such as Beatrix Potter, Wordsworth and Arthur Ransome. There are several very good pubs close by, and in Ambleside, Coniston and Grasmere, which all have highly regarded restaurants, and are just a short drive away.

Guest access
Guest will have full private access to the cabin and deck at all times during the stay.
Opening hours for the shared facilities of pool and sauna are posted on the communal building door.

Neaum Crag is quite a unique and quiet estate. All the cabins are privately owned. Within the grounds you can often see deer, red squirrels, and listen to woodpeckers and owls.
There are numerous walks straight from the door....so you can leave the car parked up!
