Our classic mahogany cruiser based on the Canal du Midi in the Languedoc makes the perfect aqua-gite! It is moored to the banks of the Canal at Porte La Minervois...and is to be used solely as as a residence. It's the ideal place to explore our beautiful, unspoilt region of France. So many things to see and do or simply relax!
We offer cruises too as an additional service...we can take you to a restaurant on the canal or to another mooring for the night to return the following morning.

Staying in Jonathan's boat was a delight. It's a beautifully restored boat and was s highlight of the trip. Jonathan was very welcoming - made sure we got some food drink ordered in time in the local bar next door. A really nice place to stay.

Really enjoyed our stay on the boat. Perfect location, great fun and a very helpful host. Proximity to Minerv, the beaches and many attractions in this fantastic wine region were great. We also loved the Tour De France passing near by and our own biking in the area. Many thanks

We had a very nice stay at Jonathans boat and he was very helpful. There is obviously no 220v in the boat but he was very kind and brought us a powerpack to charge our phones. Fun way to spend a night during f our bicycle trip.

Wonderful hosts and place. Breakfast was also great!

Lovely proper old canal boat in amazing location on the Canal du Midi, nice walk along the canal to some good restaurants, good times in a different setting

Hi Steve. Many thanks for your review...come for a day trip on the canal at some stage...I can taxi you to a cracking restaurant on the canal and bring you back after (or you could stay over on the boat and I would pick you up in the morning) regards Jon

This boat is amazing, it ranks as the joint best place I've ever stayed and I'd totally recommend staying there. The boat is beautiful, better than the pictures show and moored on a quiet stretch of the Canal du Midi for almost total peace, no traffic noise. Staying here was super restful, and during the day the boat is light and feels easily spacious enough for a couple (I had thought it might feel dark or cramped as it is, after all, a boat, but this isn't the case and while the toilet and shower are a bit more rustic than in a building they are totally fine). For a long weekend to relax it is perfect and I wish we’d stayed longer. The host was also incredibly helpful – the best I’ve encountered. There is a charming but basic tapas bar a few minutes walk away but if you are on foot most other places are 15-20 minutes away so stocking up in a supermarket on the way makes sense if you are self catering. As another review mentioned it isn’t the ideal place to stay if you want to charge loads of gadgets up but the place is so relaxing you’ll forget (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) for a while or be going there to escape from it anyway (mobile reception is good). Lastly it is worth mentioning that the boat can’t be locked up completely so if you need to bring valuables that are too bulky to keep with you when you are out I’d ask the host to store them at his b+b –we felt totally safe and secure but it’s just worth mentioning in case you have loads of camera equipment or something. Go and stay, you won’t regret it!

Response from Jonathan:
Hi Aodhan. Delighted that you both had such a great time. I'm so pleased that the boat gives others as much pleasure as it does for me. In terms of powering items up I'm just about to instal a converter that should do the job. Security of items can be a problem on boats...I'm putting a locking device so the boat can be locked shut, but as you know if thieves want to get in they will find a way (although we have never had a problem because we all keep an eye out for each others boats) We are also putting a safe in the boat too. Best wishes, Jon
