Hi! My name is Sue and I am the Innkeeper at Stone Street Cottage. My Husband and I moved to Bellevue, Ia from Kansas twenty years ago. Rob was in large agriculture equipment sales and I worked for the school system. We have three daughters, five granddaughters and two grandsons between the ages of 21 to 7 years of age. Our official greeters are Maggie, a Golden retriever and a black cat who is called Zeus . Our move to Iowa was prompted by our love of the river and the beautiful Bellevue area. Currently Rob is an EMT and I work for an in home care company as well as caring for the "Cottage" yards and multiple flower gardens. We are Avid boaters, love Jazz and Blues and I am a voracious reader. Stone Street Cottage is a Gothic Revival Victorian and is predominately original. It was built before Iowa became a state and as legend has it by a French Fur trader for his Native American bride. It was her wedding home. We have hosted individuals and families from many countries and cities. There is a great deal of Bellevue history connected to this house and we would love to share it with you. We have a web site and a (Hidden by Airbnb) page. Feel free to familiarize yourself with the "Cottage" at the quiet corner of Stone and High streets. We love people but as Hosts we are respectful of the privacy and comfort of our guests.
