At the top of a stone staircase, the artist's studio for two or three people is located in the heart of the village of Mouriès.

The studio offers a beautiful and luminous room, equipped with a kitchen, a bathroom with a large shower and a night space on the mezzanine.
A sofa can accommodate one person (Note that the bed is 70 cm wide).

A scrupulous cleaning with disinfectants is carried out after each departure.

The space
The studio is equipped with a kitchen (fridge, gas hob, kettle, coffee machine, dishes...)
The bathroom is very pleasant thanks to its large shower.
At the top, on the mezzanine, is the very comfortable double bed.

The space is very bright and very quiet.

After several months of renovation of the structural elements of the house, erected in 1840, I went there
installed at the end of 2017. It is with great pleasure that I live in this district of Mouriès, just a few kilometres away from the city centre.
not the village cafes and the grocery store.

With the help of my daughter, artist, photographer and videographer, I designed the layout of the studio.

Ideally lit by natural light, the living space is clear and full of research.
documentaries. Books play an important role.

I combined his objects with mine to make my guests' stay there pleasant and above all comfortable.

Mouriès, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

The district is very calm, it is good to live there :)

The studio is ideal for a couple who are discovering the Alpilles, Arles, 20 minutes, Les Baux de Provence, 15 minutes, Saint Rémy de Provence, 20 minutes, La Camargue and Les Saintes Maries de la mer, 50 minutes, La Côte bleue and its calanques, 50 minutes and also Marseille, 1 hour only.

Mouriès, in the heart of the Alpilles Regional Natural Park, is one of the authentic villages of the Alpilles and Provence. First olive-growing village in France, its activity is largely devoted to the cultivation of 90,000 olive trees in the commune. Mouriès PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) olive oil is characterised by a compulsory blend of olive varieties, which gives it a specific taste and flavour.

The Alpilles
The Alpilles Massif is a mountain range of low altitude, 30 kilometres long and more than 10 kilometres wide, a chain of steep white limestone rocks. This chain of hills culminates at 498 m and offers a panorama which extends from the Mont Ventoux to the Cévennes, from the Sainte Victoire mountain to the Camargue.

The village
Mouriès has more than 3500 inhabitants. Located south of the Alpilles, it is located between Arles and Salon de Provence.

The Arlesian costume
In Mouriès, during traditional events, many women, young and old, from the village wear the costume of the Arles region. To wear the costume of Arles is to accept a heritage, a terroir, an identity, a culture, a heritage, a fashion, a language, an occupation, a passion, an exchange, a sharing, a music, a poem... Each "Arlesian" is unique in her costume!

The Camargue race
The Camarguaise Race is a game between the Camargue bull, with its horns pointing towards the sky, and the razor, man dressed in white. The goal for the shavers is to recover the attributes that the bull wears on its head: a cockade, a piece of red fabric placed in the center of the forehead, two acorns attached to the base of each horn, and finally two strings placed near the acorns. All this must be removed with a hook, metal object. The Camargue race takes place in the village arena during the summer season.

Numerous marked trails allow you to discover the Alpilles. Hikes lead to the villages of Aureille, Maussane les Alpilles, Eyguières... From Mouriès, Cyclists can discover the many small roads that criss-cross the Alpilles massif. walking or cycling

The Golf de Servanes starts at the foot of the rocks with hilly fairways; bordered by olive groves, continues with an American touch (two huge greens on the island), and ends in the middle of the pines. Players of all levels will enjoy the beauty of the landscape, the shade of olive trees and the cascading lakes. The practice of the Golf of Servanes is composed of: a Practice of 300 m long with synthetic targets of color, 4 covered stations, 12 outside stations on synthetic carpet, Putting green of 300 m2, 2 bunkers of training

The place is typical of the vertical limestone blades of the Alpilles. A demanding site where more than two hundred routes, of all levels, rub shoulders: from 5 to 8. On the spot, you can choose between two atmospheres, with very technical finger slabs on the south side and a slightly sloping wall on the north side where athletic climbing is practised on holes. Well endowed for the standards of the 85's, with its walls of another style, another commitment, another technicality, where everything is a matter of feet, mind and balance. Thirty years later, Mouriès gave way to the young, the arrogant, colossal slopes where today's novogradated feats and exploits are invented, but it has not changed. We always climb under the blue sky, in the scents of lavender and Provence, on a rock more compact and purer than in our dreams.
And we're really climbing it.
