Our "Rifugio Pomaio" is surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, only 15 minutes far from Arezzo, and less than 1 hour from the most important Tuscan cities. It can comfortably host up to 3 people. A wide green area outside, and a unique view!

The space

It's a two-room apartment divided into two flats. It's located on a hill. The dining room has a fireplace and a little kitchen area. On second floor there's the bedroom with a queen bed and a single bed, and the bathroom with a shower. Outside, there's a wood-oven, paths, woods, olive trees...

Guest access

The guests have access to the whole house and to the exterior.

Interaction with guests

We will welcome our guests in order to give them the keys, and to show them the way to reach the house. Then they will be completely independent. On the other side, we will be totally helpful during their stay.

My wife and me spent two nights in Giovanni`s Tuscan Shelter. It was a very nice experience and we felt like being at home! Giovanni welcomed us with a nice bottle of wine from a friend’s winery and a delicious tiramisu! It is a very peaceful place to enjoy a green view. Thanks Giovanni for your hospitality..!!

Giovanni welcomed us, met us in town and led us to his "rustic shelter" in the hills of Pomaio. It was a good thing he did as it would have been exceedingly difficult to find on our own. Giovanni was ver y friendly and gave us a quick tour of the two story unit. The shower and toilet were combined and the kitchen sink did not have a hot water outlet (must heat water in the kettle). The kitchen and bathroom areas would be difficult to use for people above average size. The views were great, the surroundings were tranquil and the song birds were enchanting. The outside dining area was not as viewed. We had a great hike to the top of the mountain and enjoyed our stay for the most part.

Such a great place, quiet, fantastic view, the decoration of the sleeping room is so beautiful, the bed is great, you have a lot of privacy, only thing you experience from the neighbours is some child quarreling sometimes, that's it. Arezzo is a Nice city!

We had a wonderful stay! The place is beautiful and totally comfy for two persons. We only had some music noise coming from the neighbours but Giovanni solved the problem. We'll come back.

This traditional Tuscan farmhouse was a perfect place for us: We were looking for a quiet, peaceful time, and that's exactly what we got! The house was nice and clean, furnished basically but with taste. Meeting Giovanni at a central parking place worked very well, and we appreciated the welcome treats but also his great tips for trips in the region. There is a lot to see in the beautiful little places and cities in the neighbourhood but just sitting outside and enjoying the fantastic view over the hills makes for a fantastic holiday as well. Thank you very much!

If you are into self-catering and you are taller than 5'10", then this place is not for you. Being halfway up a mountain (albeit quite a way along a rough track) the tranquillity is fantastic and the wildlife truly amazing. Sitting outside watching the sun-set whilst sipping some of the local organic wine was quite magical.

Vivo ad Arezzo, ho trent'anni e mi piace viaggiare.
Per me il viaggio è un modo di vivere i luoghi che visito cercando di perdermi il più possibile fra le persone del posto. In maniera semplice e "spartana". Come il mio Rifugio Pomaio. I miei ospiti saranno liberi di "sentirsi a casa propria".
