A detached self contained annexed house with d'ble bedroom ,shower room , and large combined lounge/ diner ,and kitchen area. Own entrance .Tastefully appointed with reasonable style. Overlooks garden wi small terr. area. Driveway pkg. Min 3 nights

The property is in a semi rural location about 3 miles from Bath and 2 miles from Bradford on Avon .. Access to both main towns is pretty easy both by car and by bus . The bus stops are about 30 metres from the house(265 bus every 30mins or so)

The space

This is a two storey annex adjacent the main house. There is a large driveway area that serves both buildings.
The entrance to the annex is down a flight of stone steps (circa 14 steps). The main door enters the combined lounge / diner/ kitchen area.
The internal shower room is on the same level as the lounge/diner with an internal flight of oak stairs up to the main double bedroom. A spare single bed is sited under these stairs. This bed has no specific privacy but is suitable for the occasional use of a third person not requiring their own room.
The kitchen area is equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, ceramic sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, and washing machine. Pots, pans, plates , and cutlery are provided

The bathroom contains a wc, basin, bidet, and large 1500 shower, complete with head shower and body washers .

Their is a further room within the annex. This is not available to guests. The room has its own independent entrance to avoid disturbance.

Access keys will be available in a key safe at the bottom of the stone steps

There will be little or no interaction with visiting guests.

This is a lovely part of the world . Its benefits from being close to both Bath and Bradford on Avon (and all they have to offer), yet is out in the countryside, with many lovely walks including along the Kennet and Avon canal and River Avon

The property is located about 3 miles from Bath , midway between Bath and Bradford on Avon.
Car access to both places is very easy. Equally, there is a bus stop about 30 yards from the property with regular services(264/265) into Bath and Bradford on Avon.
The Kennet and Avon Canal is located nearby, with walks along the towpath to both Bath and Bradford on Avon. Cycling, including bike hire, along the tow path is extremely popular.

Access is safe but the main door is down at the bottom of some wide, but not particularly steep, stone steps, which may prove problematic for the infirm.
No television is provided ..

Guest access

Access keys will be available in a key safe at the bottom of the stone steps

Please endeavour to vacate by latest 12 noon on leaving day. Thanks

Interaction with guests

Other things to note

House Rules
Check in is anytime after 3PM

This flat was lovely, the best we had in England! Chris himself was very kind, discret and generous. He had left everything we needed for breakfast, not just cereals and milk, but eggs, cheese, bacon, etc and also beer and Proseco!! Wow, Thank you again Chris. The flat is well located, clean, has quality furnitures and sophisticated equipments. The location was fine, near Bath but enjoyably in the country side. The only thing that could be added is a curtain on the entrance door to add a bit of privacy.

This is a really good quality apartment in a rural setting a few miles outside of Bath. Easy access to Bath by car and bus. Thank you Chris for your hospitality.

What a wonderful stay! Chris was a very gracious and helpful host and was there to answer questions if needed otherwise was a very private spot in a tranquil and beautiful setting. We'd happily go back anytime! Also spotted the local fox in the backyard - a real treat :) had also left a small selection of goodies in the fridge for our arrival which was very thoughtful too. Thanks Chris!

Chris was a delightful and helpful host, and the place couldn't have been lovlier. It was a highlight of that portion of our trip for sure. We were very happy to be Chris' first guests and predict he'll be flooded with inquiries as the reviews continue to roll in. He provided a welcome package of food and drinks which was very helpful considering the late hour we arrived. And Chris was understanding and flexible as our plans changed throughout the day of our arrival. The accommodation is private but Chris is accessible, and the setting is incredible. I want to bring my husband here if it's still listed in future, and my parents want to return, too. Just fantastic.

This location was perfect for a short Autumn break away. We were very fortunate with the mild weather and were able to visit many of the local attractions and go walking further afield on Glastonbury Tor and Cheddar Gorge in wonderful sunshine. I always like coming to Bath and Chris offers the perfect balance of town and country for Somerset. We would be very happy to recommend it to others.

Chris is so helpful that our plane was badly late, Chris kept all lights on to help our check in. Chris also prepared enough & quality food for breakfast in refrigerator, thanks again.

Superb, quaint, fantastic! Chris is obliging and helpful and communicates promptly via text. The welcoming and generous food hamper was greatly appreciated. We loved everything about this place from location to the comfort of this cottage. The location to Bradford on Avon and Bath is ideal. Even more beautiful than the photos depicted.
