Christianshavn is the most charming part of Copenhagen. Centrally located apartment (5 minutes walk to Metro/10 to city center) in quiet street, overlooking the canal. Large private bedroom + shared bathroom, big kitchen, and balcony with great view.

The space
Spacious bedroom (12 square meetres), with a 140cm wide double bed. Perfect for a couple, two friends, or one person who really wants luxury.
Possibility for a third person on comfortable matress on floor, at no extra cost.
Bed linens and towels included.

You'll have your own mini-fridge to keep your water or snacks cool. Office desk & chair in room, and access to free wi-fi connection. Heater, space to hang your clothes, hairdryer, large dressing mirror, and a window-side table & chair with a nice view to the cobble stone street below.

Situated on the 4th floor; please note there is no elevator (that's very common in such quaint apartment buildings in central Copenhagen). But as soon as you have climbed the stairways to my floor, you'll find the apartment bright and welcoming, and from the balcony you get a stunning view of Copenhagen.

Guest access
Guests have access to the spacious kitchen, which you share with the host. You can prepare your own breakfast here. Gas stove, cooker, toaster & micro wave oven available. Coffee & tea is on me - and I often have a variation of fruits for my guests to help themselves to. ;o)

The shared bathroom is across the hall from your bedroom. Small but modern bathroom, clean, bright and functional. Large towels included. Shampoo & soap also available free of charge.

Access to balcony, facing south, with a magnificent view of the famous tower of Our Saviour's Church, the Christianshavn canal, and all the rooftops and towers of Copenhagen. Smoking is possible on balcony only.

Other things to note
The room has been renovated & refurbished in 2014, to accommodate your needs. New windows in the whole apartment installed in 2015. The building's facade has been renovated in 2016 and the pavement in front of the house is just recently upgraded. My interior decoration is 'Nordic style', with wooden floors and white walls. Bathroom is small, but bright and clean - and just next door to your room. Staying at my place is like "a home away from home".
Or as they say in Spanish: Mi casa = tu casa.

Copenhagen, Denmark

I love this neighbourhood! Still after 23 years of living in Copenhagen, I sometimes get chills of joy when I walk down my street, along the canal, taking in the local atmosphere.

Christianshavn has plenty of nice cafés and restaurants. It's a beautiful area, with old quaint city houses, cobble stone streets, and the canal is full of boats - old and new - just outside my building.

The "free town" of Christiania is nearby, with it's hippie mood and laisse-faire atmosphere.

This is all in all a very friendly, open-minded and charming part of Copenhagen. A true oasis in the capital of Denmark!

A NEW FRIEND IS SOMEONE YOU HAVEN'T MET YET. Hello there! Orginally from Trondheim, Norway - I now live in wonderful Copenhagen, and this city is one of the most beautiful ones I know. I love the relaxed atmosphere, the open-mindness, and many opportunities for activities that the city offers. My neighbourhood of Christianshavn (Christian's Harbour) still amazes me, with it's quaint buildings, cobblestone streets and alleys, and the canals with the lively boat traffic. Close to the city center as it is; it still is a peaceful oasis with green spaces, relaxed atmosphere and laidback people. I sometimes still find myself getting "rushes of happiness" realizing that I actually live here! My educational background includes tourism & travel studies, international marketing, and teaching. I'm an open-minded and social person who create a good atmosphere and like to have guests and invite people in. I've lived in Copenhagen during the last 22 years, and thus I know the city very well. I've visited several big cities, and have lived, worked and studied abroad for many years - in great places like Barcelona, Madrid, Santiago de Chile, Helsinki, Ibiza, Gran Canaria... Nevertheless, Copenhagen is now my home and my favorite place. I have a passion for sports, and like running for exercise and play team-handball on a weekly basis. I also enjoy the movies, theatre and socializing with friends. Trivia quizzes, 'escape rooms' and adventure games is another favorite. But I also like a quiet evening with a book or in front of the TV, watching one of my favorite series. I also like music; all sorts really - but have a "secret" passion for the annual extravaganza called the Eurovision Song Contest. ;o) Due to my travel, studies and international work I get inspired by different cultures and traditions; and I speak quite a few languages: Norwegian, Danish and Swedish obviously, plus English and Spanish fluently. I can also make myself understood in German, and speak some words of French. I like travelling, and look forward to exploring the many possibilities of accommodation and meeting new people that the network of airbnb brings. I'm also looking forward to welcoming you in my private home, and the cosy guestroom is ready to receiving you! ;o) ¡Hola! Bienvenido a mi apartamento, y a visitar a "wonderful Copenhague". ;-)
