Friendly goats and a beautiful historic home close to all the wineries and breweries in Loudoun county. The area available to guests is an 18th century Quaker-style colonial on a 12 acre farm.

The space
The farm is accessed via a private natural road. The picturesque property includes a barn, spring house, corn crib, and several streams and ponds. Outside, you can roam the property and visit with the ducks, chickens, and fainting goats; take in the view from the deck; or enjoy the flowers and fish pond in the courtyard. Looking to grill? We’re taking you back in time with a fire pit, wood fired grill, and five foot deep in-ground oven.

Inside, the vibe is very "East meets West circa 1800" with a mix of classy antiques, funky vintage finds, and swoon-worthy East Asian pieces. In addition to the bathrooms and bedrooms, there is a living room with a fireplace, piano room that looks into the courtyard, dining room that comfortably sits 8 and less comfortably sits 12, kitchen with an island, a somewhat utilitarian laundry/mud room, and two staircases.

***please note that my parents live on the property in a house that is connected to the house you are staying at- there are no shared indoor spaces***

Where you’ll be

Hamilton, Virginia, United States

There are only two other houses down Ballenger Lane and neither are visible from the property. It's very peaceful.

A walking path connects Ballenger Farm to Patrick Henry College. If you have relatives, friends, or business there, it makes it a very quick commute!

We're also super close to the W&OD trail- guests have biked to our space from the trail on multiple occasions.

We’re right by the town of Purcellville which has so many quaint shops perfect for vintage goods and history lovers.

There’s about 15 wineries and breweries within 10 minutes of the farm.

During your stay

In Covid times you’re able to stay here free of any interaction with me and my cohost parents. You can reach us by phone if you need anything! Also, since the farm is owned by my darling parents you might see us working outside- and we'll probably give a little wave.
