We really liked staying at this house. The house has plenty of bedrooms and all the electrical appliances one needs when travelling with kids. The house is close to a lot of interesting locations. Most of them not even an hour drive away. We went to The Macallan and Glenfarclas distillery, to The Reindeer Centre, Ballindalloch Castle and Inverness. We also went looking for Nessy but she wasn’t there at the time ;). We also highly recommend the restaurant Andersons in Boat of Garten. Pilmuir is a good base of operations for lots and lots of places of interest (including dozen of distilleries).

Everything was well detailed, we arrived like if we were home. Jenny was very helpful to organise our trip. She provided all the information about the house, the neighbourhood, what to do. The house is beautiful, clean and very relaxing. We loved the wood stove after a full day of visits. We highly recommend this place and we would definitively come back here if we had the possibility. A huge thanks to Jenny.

Pilmuir was a perfect retreat for us. The home is strategically located to visit anywhere in the highlands of Scotland. The home is larger than I expected and set up to accommodate a family and was very roomy for four adults as was our party. Having two full baths is unique for a home of this age and they are beautifully updated. Jenny was helpful in helping us decide what to see and with information regarding shopping and turning up the heat for us warm bloodied Americans. We would highly recommend this home to those needing a retreat or a home base for day trips or hiking the highlands.

What a great cottage! It's very well located, and really perfect for a party of 5 people like us. There's lots of space for the kids to play, and each bedroom allows some private space too. I really loved the kitchen and its amaziiiing stove! :-)
