Interaction with Guests
Someone on staff will be on site between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM to open the gate, give you your keys, show you how everything works and give a few recommendations for places to eat or things to do and see. We usually have someone on staff during the day to help out, but we do not have a formal reception or concierge to assist with tours, transportation and bookings. Once you have your keys you are on your own to come and go as you please.

DRIFT was wonderful! Highly recommended for people looking for a place to relax and stay above the fray of Cabo San Lucas, yet still be nearby lots of fun things to do and see. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The rooms are charmingly simple and very comfortable (nice beds!) and well put together. The shower in the bathroom was also very nice. The overall atmosphere of Drift is extremely relaxing, charming, and inviting. The communal kitchen and small swimming pool were nice places to chill and chat with the other guests. Drift provides coffee and fresh oranges to squeeze for juice in the morning. Such a nice touch! There are plenty of good restaurants nearby to Drift in San Jose del Cabo as well.
Drift is the kind of place that makes the perfect home base between the days adventures. I loved coming back to the hotel to swap stories with fellow guests at the pool or bar. I loved the Mezcal tasting and the general hospitality of the staff and owner. The open air kitchen provided a great spot to make coffee and discuss the day's plans with other guests. And the private parking and enclosed courtyard felt like staying with friends in a private property. The grounds are beautiful and the rooftop was perfect for morning yoga and evening sunset views of the city.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Drift's staff, owner, ambiance are all unmatched in my travels and stays with AirBNB. The atmosphere is very laid back and because the hotel is setup for interaction between the residents, my friend and I were able to establish new friendships with several other guests.
Lets not forget Clara who is an absolutely precious dog that roamed the facility. Sweetheart that little girl.
Again, loved it, great place to stay, everything was wonderful, communication was lighting quick and directions for everything from eating, site seeing to surfing was great.
Thanks again guys, I'll be back soon!
Excellent place to be and expend great time at the pool with some beers. Nice beds and shower too, very clean.
OMG, I LOVED this place! Not only was the staff super helpful and friendly, but the place was lovely. It has a great location, a great communal kitchen, and the designed is ideal.
I'm coming back soon, no doubt. As soon as I get another chance.
My group of 5 ladies had an amazing week staying at Drift. Loved the laid-back atmosphere - the staff was always around to offer help or ask if we needed anything, but we never felt like we couldn't kick back and relax in the common areas like we would at a vacation home. The dip pool is heaven. It was also great to meet the other guests - Stu's living/spatial concept has fostered a great sense of community. SJD is a sleepy town during the day, but really comes alive at night with lots of live music shows in the restaurants and town plaza near Drift!
Really fantastic experience. The location couldn't better since it's really in the heart of the historic art district. Restaurants and bars are walkable and the location is perfect for exploring surf spots along the coast. Staff is very friendly and helpful and other travelers were all super nice. Will definitely come back.
