Our stay in Najac was a dream. The maison is way better than the (URL HIDDEN) magical like its position, right under the castle which you can admire from the side of a balcony, facing the valley. The house is clean despite its age, very warm even in winter as we experienced it. Everything inside, and outside, is typical. Very tidy but at the same time lived and full of memory. Needless to say the silence is absolute. Only the wc made crazy noises but everything was so perfect that we took it as part of the novel. We didn't meet Raymond, but Aurélie was very nice with us and flexible about check-in/out. I would definitely spend another week there.

Beautiful home in a beautiful village. The host was very accommodating, even arranging for us to meet the lovely housekeeper in the dead of night (due to a delayed flight) to let us in. The house is more spacious than hoped. A wonderful experience - I'd be happy to return again :)

We had a wonderful time in Najac and this home is truly a jewel! It has an incredible location at the foot of the castle and the views over the surrounding mountainous countryside are breathtaking. We found lots to do in the village as well as in the surrounding area (Belcastel was a nice daytrip). The home itself is well-equipped, though the appliances and furniture are quite old. Be prepared for very dark nights and creaking floorboards! We enjoyed meals outside on the terrace as well as indoors in the spacious, beautiful eating area. The plum tree was laden with fruit while we were there and that was an unexpected treat! Our daughter really enjoyed staying in her own special room, full of books and a toy castle.

You will live a long time before you see another place as beautiful as. Najac. We arrived August 6, the day of the annual festival. The village was full and driving was cautious. We parked in public parking and wandered the festival, which was much fun, and met the housekeeper at the local bakery. She showed us how yo find the house and that was an adventure! The. 30 degree rise on the hills and the tight turns tested my limited ability with the standard transmission, but we got there. On subsequent outings we found it easier to use the ample public parking down the hill behind the house and use the public stairs up to the house. The house will stun you with its views of the valley below. The house is very old and charming. It's roomy and has a full size kitchen that made eating at home very easy. The dining room is grand and the living room well appointed and comfortable. There is a garden area, a plum tree , raspberry vines and a friendly neighborhood cat who may stop by. Two bedrooms and bath upstairs can sleep 5. I would gladly stay here again. Be ready for hill climbing and in summer a steady stream of friendly tourists wandering the streets.

This is a lovely old property in a beautiful historic village, The description of the house given by Monsieur Debord was entirely accurate. The house is furnished with antique French pieces and there are two long case clocks which gives a comforting family atmosphere. Although we did not meet the host personally we were in touch by email and he was helpful and prompt in sorting out any queries. There was a friendly housekeeper who took us to the house and was available if we needed anything sorting out. It was a quiet and peaceful stay.
