The space

Buro Bert worked with an architect and friend Barry Stavert to design a forest house on the outskirts of domain 'Stille Wille. The forest house, called "The helping elephant ' is tough, rugged, with on one side a large circular arc, where the light from high windows comes inside. This arc refers to the back of an elephant.
When you enter, you'll experience the open interior. This is enhanced in that the first floor is shifted with respect to the ground floor. There are anywhere comfortable nooks to sit, read, daydream. This openness have contact with each other throughout.
The house has an African theme and the colors and materials have been adjusted accordingly. On the wall in the kitchen are Moroccan tiles, which are not attached, making a playful effect arose. A bronze uplighter light on the wall. The kitchen is well equipped with oven and dishwasher.
The view of the huge garden is beautiful. The black exterior of the house let the brilliant colors of the changing seasons optimally come into its own.

Want to come on your days off, weekends and / or holidays to avoid the bustle of the city.
• Many houses are abroad, but when you like a guarded 'pied-à terre' available for those times when you are staying in the Netherlands(URL HIDDEN)In other words; if You can "relax" and real peace means a natural setting, then estate Stille Wille will be perfect for you and also make you feel at home within the social context and the policy objectives of this beautiful property.

We really enjoyed our time at the helping elephant. The surrounding site is also very nice and quiet - pool and tennis court is a plus. Thank you...

Although we did not have the chance to meet the host, our arrival was very smooth. We were given great instructions as how to arrive and how to get the keys of the house. When I needed added information Pien was always there ready to respond my questions. The house is fantastic. Pictures only show a small part of this lovely house. We were 7 adults and all of us had a comfortable bed and enough space for all the luggage and belongings. Although we never cooked in the house we noticed the kitchen is fully equipped for anyone who would like to cook their own meal. Beautiful garden and relaxing area are also well kept. I have only praise for this lovely home and encourage anyone who is looking for a holiday home to stay at the Forest House.

If you are looking for a quite break in beautiful natural surroundings, then this is the place. The house is attractively designed, very well equipped and includes an oven type fire place with a wood supply which kept the place very warm while we were there. We rented bicycles in the nearby town of Oisterwijk and along with a map did an extensive cycle tour of the area. We walked and went jogging in the surrounding forest. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

We booked "The helping elephant" for our stay at Roadburn Festival 2016 and to be honest, it was the best possible decision we could make. The house is situated at a small forest a few minutes away from the highway, so our rides to Tilburg don't take to much time. The helping elephant is clean and furnished lovely. The beds are comfortable and we found everything in it we could desire. The check-in descrition was simple and so we understand everything really quick. But the best were the mornings after some hard festival nights. We awoke between sunny trees, singing birds and gentle winds ... so as i told you ... it was best decision to chill out for a festival vacation. Thank you very much Marloes for this perfect weekend!

Our weekend was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it. I cannot provide enough positive feedback about this lovely house and Marloes's kindness. Awaking among the squirless was amazing, our kids would have stayed for good there. Our communication with Marloes was great before and during our stay and she was very helpful (f.e. check in earlier). We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine. The house is well equipped and comfortable, there was everything we needed. We came from Hungary to celebrate together our eldest son's 20th birthday (he's studying at University of Technology in Eindhoven) and I think we made it unforgettable. Thanks Marloes! We could feel your house as our home, thank you for it. We loved this short time and we will definitely be back.
