If you thought that all of Venice was congested with tourists, there is a residential corner of town within easy walking distances to major attractions (literally footsteps from the Biennale - which is great this year) and public transport. It is great to take in EVERYTHING Venice has to offer and still be able to retreat to a less crowded and friendly neighborhood to relax and refuel. The host, who is not immediately onsite, is warm and accessible.

Perfect location for the biennale and for avoiding the crazy crowds near San Marco square. The apartment is very clean and comfortable even on hot days. Lovely terrace and balcony off the kitchen for sitting outside in the morning and evenings. Daniela is very responsive and helpful and maintains a wonderful home away from home. She even has a baby bed and high chair which was super helpful for our baby. We will definitely stay here again if/when we come back to Venice.

Great apartment in a very nice neighbourhood. Our favorite part was the balcony overlooking the canal outside. Great for breakfasts and evening drinks. Spacious, charming furniture and nice kitchen facilities made up for a perfect stay in this calm part of Venice. Clean, tidy and good communication and service. Highly recommended.

The location is at the end of via Garibaldi. Nice kitchen, two bedrooms and a living room, which can be converted into a bedroom: ask in advance. Warm an quiet. No WiFi. Hot water in the shower is not abundant. Daniela and her brother are very good hosts, they live closely and respond to any phone questions immediately. I'd stay there again.

Our family of 5 people really enjoyed the stay in Danielas apartment, and Daniela and her husband where very helpful picking us up at Arsenale station and leading us to the apartment. The area is very nice, peaceful but still in walking distance to a lot of attractions. No doubt that the wonderful private balcony facing South and towards the channel was a fantastic spot to enjoy a glass of wine during sunset.

We had a lovely time staying at Residenza Dani. We phoned Daniela from the airport before catching the boat and she met us with her daughter at the Arsenale boat stop and escorted us to the apartment. She was most helpful and pointed out various useful shops and showed us around the apartment which was very clean and exactly as described. The apartment was ideally suited to us as we'd come to Venice for the Biennale and it was a short walk to both Giardini and Arsenale. It's a pleasant twenty minutes walk along the seafront to San Marco and the main tourist areas. The location is beautifully quiet but not isolated and has the atmosphere of a village. It's less than two minutes walk to a bakery for your breakfast rolls, or to a cafe for a coffee. Plenty of restaurants for dinner in Via Garibaldi, again two minutes away. You can sit on the balcony, sip a glass of wine and enjoy looking down at life, watching the boats and people chatting on the bridge. We'd definitely return next time. It's absolutely ideal especially if you want be away from the frantic rush of the tourist areas.
