Regarding some of the reviews:

This is a great house only 10 minutes walk from the lake. It has a large open kitchen and a yard with BBQ, hot tub, and fireplace. M is a great host and kindly returned some stuff we forgot when we left. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

If you want to drink your coffee or your glass of wine while looking at the lake (through the trees but still great view), this is a great house. If you want access to the lake or other amenities like marina and shore, this is a great house. The kitchen is spacious and well supplied to cook anything (you could do a fine Thanksgiving meal in this kitchen). The beds are super comfortable. There is a big back yard, that is all fenced in, with Jacuzzi and outdoor furnitures. We had a great time. It was super quiet and beautiful. I would highly recommend it. The only thing I wish that could have been different was a washer and drier, as I was with kids. The house would sleep very comfortably 6 guests + a couple more if you wanted to have someone sleep in living room. we brought our dog and he loved the back yard. You could easily park 3 cars in the driveway if necessary.

We had a great time! The cabin was so lovely and had a great living room, front yard and back yard. Everyone loved the location and we had a fantastic time. We even talked about coming back maybe next year. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was quite nice for the evenings.

There was no kind of communication with the host, we had no check in instructions. Tried to contact host through message and never got a reply, attempted to call her and didn't get a answer until I sent her a text message. We felt like we didn't have a place to stay due to lack of communication. House was dusty and backyard was messy. Hot tub had spiders in water.

The cabin was quaint and charming. If you are planning to drive to Big Bear during winter time make sure to check weather and road conditions. It took us 13 hrs to drive to Big Bear from San Diego. (normally a 3-hr drive). Property manager was difficult to get in contact with, but once we did she was able to guide us a different route. The other thing you need to note you must throw away your own garbage in a bin that is a 3 min drive away. Other than that really nice cabin and great location
