Since the owner is a young woman with international travel experience, the Katsuo Guest House was especially made with safety and cleanliness in mind, with the hope that female travelers will feel comfortable.
The guesthouse’s owner “Maki-san” is very proud of the role that the Katsuo fish has had in Kochi’s history and is happy to share as Kochi’s informal ambassador! The landlady, who was a former deputy editor of a local town magazine, can provide information on local specialty food such as seared katsuo. This is a delicious benefit only available to travelers at the guest house.
