Apartment of 1200 A.D. recently renovated, furnished with ancient furniture. It is divided in 2 floors, connected together by a medieval tower whose upper floor overlooks the hill on which stands the old town of Seggiano.

The space

The ancient building has been renovated in the respect and preservation of the original materials used. Its terracotta floor, the timber beams of the ceiling, make this apartment unique. It offers a wonderful view over the hills of the Val D'Orcia.
It is located 16 km from Montalcino, 20 km from Pienza, 50 km from Siena.

Guest access

The apartment can hold up to 6 adults and it is divided on 2 floors.
On the first floor there is a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with bunk beds, a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen.
Upstairs, on the second floor, there is an opens space of about 60 square meters with a pitched roof with wooden beams, a round table, a sofa and a bathroom with hydro-massage.
This room also includes a bed with through panels, a changing table and a pound for protection of children.
The kitchen has a fully functional wood burning fireplace and dining room which permits a stunning view, from its many windows overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Interaction with guests

I will be available to welcome guests. If not directly, by people who I fully trust.

Silvia’s place is more of an experience than an accommodation. The tower is in a small and quaint town up the hill and you can imagine how life in ancient Italy might have been by just looking at the town and the neighbourhood. The place is well maintained and had all we needed for our stay. The upper floor bedroom has great views and Silvia was always available for any questions and local recommendations that we needed help with. Thank you for a wonderful Italian experience!

Sylvia's tower is special. We loved looking out over mediaeval Seggiano and beyond to Mont-Amiata and the hills of Val d'Orcia. We were there during a heatwave and we appreciated having a choice of beds. We loved the dining room with windows all around. We love swimming and we found great places nearby - Bagno Vignoni, the local agriturismo and the seaside at Talamone. Sylvia was a great host.

Silvia is a gem. She is so lovely. She was communicative and helpful from the day we booked to the day to departed. The tower was the perfect spot for us. Seggiano is very quiet and secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. We had a wonderful time exploring the local thermal springs, wine tasting our way through montalcino, and dining at some of the many organic farms throughout the area. We loved every minute!

We felt like we were living in our own medieval castle. Great building, township and the local Taverna restaurant is less than 5 minutes walk. This property is an excellent place to make your base for a few days while you explore Tuscany.

Silvia is a great communicator and her place is located in an extraordinarily beautiful place that is quite and off the beaten tourist track. From the dinning room of the Tower you have panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside with swallows circling. Silvia has aimed to stay true to the Medieval nature of the Tower which provides a slightly unusual experience to your usual airbnb experience. I recommend this stay to people looking for beauty and adventure.
