This two-bedroom apartment has just been remodeled and is located in a charming mid-century modern duplex.

This apartment is just over one mile from the University of Florida campus as well as Downtown Gainesville. Shands and the VA hospitals are approximately 2 miles away.

A fully-equipped kitchen with a gas range; a 55-inch 4k television in the living room with access to Netflix, Hulu, and HBOGO; plush cotton bedding on the new beds.

PLEASE READ "Other Things to Note" BEFORE BOOKING..thanks

The space
This apartment is one half of a duplex and is nestled in a quiet and peaceful suburban neighborhood in central Gainesville.

The 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment has been totally remodeled with tiled floors throughout, a renovated kitchen with brand-new appliances, and private parking.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the apartment as well as the front garden. Please be mindful that this property is one half of a duplex and that neighbors do reside next door.

Other things to note
*PLEASE NOTE* that the second bedroom will be locked off for reservations of less than 3 persons. If you require the second bedroom, then please make a reservation for 3 or more persons. The rate increases per head with every third or fourth guest. I maintain this rule so as to make the listing affordable for guests traveling alone or as a couple and who do not require a second bedroom.

Please be mindful of the neighbors who live in the apartment next door. Please respect times of the day in which loud noises should be reduced.

The kitchen has a gas range. It is imperative that you turn burners off after use.

Location

Gainesville, Florida, United States

The neighborhood is called Oakview in Northwest Gainesville, and it is only 1.3 miles from both the University of Florida campus and Downtown Gainesville. The neighborhood is suburban, slightly Bohemian, and full of vintage and historic homes. As its namesake suggests, the neighborhood is known for its dense canopy of old-growth Laurel and Live Oaks.

Hi Everyone, I’m Jonathan! Ever since I launched my first listing in 2017, I have become a devoted and ardent supporter of Airbnb and the way in which it can connect people and foster meaningful experiences when we travel. I’ve had the enormous pleasure of hosting thousands of guests in my six listings and take pride in the opportunity to provide guests with a quality, clean, and affordable experience during their stay in Gainesville. I first arrived in Gainesville as a freshman at the University of Florida in 2009. After graduation, I lived and worked for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in Washington, D.C. for two years before returning to Gainesville and UF to carry out my masters degree. It wasn’t until I returned to Gainesville that I realized just how special of a place it is, and I am now very proud to call this beautiful city my home. I work as a wildlife biologist and take part in dozens of conservation projects on threatened and endangered species throughout North Central Florida every year. One of the great pleasures of living in Gainesville is that we have a sizable community of conservationists, environmentalists, scientists, and advocates for the natural world that are vocal in ensuring our urban tree canopy remains intact and that land continues to go into conservation so that it is safeguarded from development and preserved for future generations. In addition, I am Realtor, and I focus my efforts on facilitating people and families' relocation to Gainesville. My familiarity with the area and my own investment in property in the city make me a valuable resource for anyone planning to move to this fantastic place. To those of you who choose to book with me, I very much look forward to meeting and hosting you soon :)
