The Treehouse is 4 meters up in the trees near Elk Point, Alberta. Its a perfect place to strengthen your love relationships in a natural setting. This is truly living off-grid with electricity provided by the sun!

We're now closed for the winter, spring booking begins May 7, 2021.

Contact us about bringing friends. A small holiday trailer on site can be rented to sleep 2 or 3 and there is plenty of room for RVs and tents

Cell coverage is poor except for a few spots. No pets please!

The space
The treehouse was designed for 2 adults on the main plus 2 kids in the loft, but we've slept 8! A couch folds to double-sized futon and a cozy loft has queen mattress. Two other mattresses can be used for sleeping on the floor.

It has a kitchen; potable water; toilet; shower; wood heater; propane heater; BBQ

The rental includes several fire pits, rock sauna, free firewood, use of unserviced camping spots, 2 outhouses and outdoor shower for your camping friends

Guest access
Renting the Treehouse gives you the off-grid experience with plenty of comfort. Its very private. If you like to enjoy your summer in the nude, just lock the gate and enjoy the freedom!

We provide a bit of sports equipment to play with in the small clearing. Hiking trails are maintained to help explore the 80 acres of forest.

Your host gives you privacy but is available if needed while staying in the Hobbit House about 200 m away.

Other things to note
Campfires are allowed except when the county issues a fire ban due to extremely dry conditions.
Outdoor games in the grassy clearing - croquet, badminton, frisbee, bocci ball, etc.
Walk the trails to see hundreds of boreal plant species, and many species of birds and other wildlife.
No motorized vehicles please.

I'm a retired forester who loves the outdoors, building things, meeting new people. My life motto is "Enjoy Life More!" This treehouse hosting thing has really turned out to satisfy all of the above. I'm currently finishing off a second building - a "Hobbit House" - built into a hill about 200m from the treehouse. Also solar powered but it features a live roof and a lot more room.
